So is anyone doing Grand Fondo NJ on June 8th?

LOVE reading these race reports. KCC women representing with spectacular grace and fun!

I'm not thrilled about the jankity officiating...

I'm in for Friday morning KCC women's practice this week! Weather looks questionably dry, but as @Kayt and @Emily and I learned this past weekend, it's nothing a little duct tape wont fix.
I am probably not going to make women's practice tomorrow, but I should be able to make it next week before catching a flight for my Northwest vacay.
Sorry Ladies, I slept through the alarm.  Hope some of you'll were able to get together this morning

I got to GAP just a tad after the 5-min "grace period", and sincerely hope I didn't miss anyone who was waiting at 6am and rolled away angry. My apologies if so. You can totally blame me, I'll blame Garmin, and Garmin wont care. Decided to do a couple laps at an easy endurance pace, then joined Craig and new member Andrew (nice to meet you!) for a couple more laps. The park is really getting busy in the morning!

Evan Murphy got the wheels. Grrr...
Great seeing most of you last night!

I have an off topic question- I just got my team jersey yesterday and tried slipped it on my right arm. the short sleeves seem quite long. Does the race cute fit you all that way? (None of my other jerseys fir this way)

@Daniella Shachter‌ this is how mine fits. At first I thought sleeves were a tad long/bunchy, but I'm cool with it now.image
My razor jersey selves fit snug but below my bicep too. Kinda how the jerseys in the pro pelotons are trending. I quite like that fit and appreciate that Champion Systems isn't boxing me into a capped sleeve and/or club fit situation. My non-razor jersey falls mid-low bicep.
thank you all! so my question is answered- they are supposed to be like that.
and thanks emily for posting a pic! i goto my doctor tomorrow so hopefully he'll take off this lumpy cast so I can officially try it on. Looking forward to riding in another month or so.
Anyone want to drive up and ride up & down Bear Mountain Saturday?
@Meredith, I can't do this Saturday, but I'd be interested in getting in another day of riding early next week. What's your riding sched like next week?
I'm on campus Monday but totally open Tuesday morning until about noon. I
could do Palisades over and over if you wanted? Just trying to climb as
much as possible!

Tuesday morning alpine hill repeats it is! Will pm you with deets :-)

@Meredith, out of town, but Bear would be great some other time.

All ladies, anyone for the Friday morning PP ride tomorrow?  I'll be at GAP at 6:00am.  Putting it in print to force my follow-through.
@Emily and all the ladies, I'll be in PP tomorrow morning (GAP AT 6AM) and planning to do my openers workout — a couple 1-2min maximal efforts w/ recovery between, then just steady tempo until my hour is up. Feel free to join!
Bear sounds fun! I have next Thursday off if you guys want to go then. I have a car and I can fit one maybe two peeps. Let me know!! Also-if anyone is up for a long ride Sunday- let me know!
I'll join on Friday. I could do Bear or a longer ride on Sunday instead of Saturday if that's better for people. I also have a car. Thursday AM I leave for Colorado. In case you want to see the ride, it's here: http://ridetherockies.com/

@Erika, what is this Osmos stuff that's always in your instagrams? Should I be eating / drinking it on this ride?
@Meredith, Osmo Nutrition (http://osmonutrition.com) is one of our sponsors. We get 47% off their sports nutrition products and $1.50 water bottles. Check out their website for specifics, but it's basically two hydration products (one for pre-activity and another for during activity), and a recovery protein powder. I drink the recovery product (in almond milk) after races and after long weekend rides, but sometimes toss a scoop into my breakfast (pancake batter, oatmeal, etc.) if I've had a hard morning workout. @Emily recently made Osmo fro-yo, and I'm gearing up to make some Osmo pudding pops. Osmo everything!

The women's team has samples of the women specific products (and I have some of the yummy men's recovery — which some have likened to liquid cupcake) if you're interested in trying anything.

I want all of these things -- esp. hydration. Do I have to order through
the Kissena website? Sorry for being such a dunce about this.
@Meredith, Group orders only. Next one should be in early July. Make sure you get updates from the Osmo thread: http://kissenacycling.vanillaforums.com/discussion/1074/osmo-nutrition-order#latest

Also, these are all of our sponsorship deals and discounts: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fvofdnicy96xgx1/SPONSORSHIP-OPPORTUNITIES.pdf

Also, I have way too much women's active hydration product — the kind in the single serving packets. I can stuff a bunch in my jersey and give them to you tomorrow morning if you'd like.

Erika I was going to ask if you had some of those single serving packets.
That would be so so useful for the Colorado trip; thank you! I'll take
whatever you've got. I'm not picky.

Bummed i can't make a PP ride tomorrow but I have to head up to the finger lakes (Canandaigua, anyone?) to cover a show tomorrow night and am leaving my place around 7AM to catch a flight up to Rochester. Second Friday in a row that i've had to go, womp womp :(  Hoping to make it next week though!
@Paige, so jealous you're going up to the FLX! Hope it's not all work.

I'll be out at 6 am for a warm up lap or two with the group, then I'll be off to do some fancy footwork up and down Central Drive.
I'm planning on coming out in the morning to catch up with the team.  It has been a while since we got together.  I have a bunch of water bottles and Osmo Hydration for the team, and I will bring some out in the morning.  It looks like many people have specific training to do in the morning, but for those who don't we can ride around and chat.
