Re: Epiphanies. It's great that you have these moments while racing, where something you heard somewhere, sometime clicks. And you're like..."oh...NOW, I get it." Congrats! Winning a race is amazing, and I'm sure it won't be your last in the "W" column.
Kate I am so delighted for you! You've had the bit in your teeth for a long while and it's been awesome watching you persevere through three disciplines (road, cx and track) in all seasons.

Your success must be all the sweeter for the anticipation - revel in it - it's a hard fought, well earned achievement.

#chapeau!!!
all the awesome!! congrats!! best parting gift ever.
Great job Kayt!! You looked so awesome out there! Really well deserved! I got popped on that last lap...was really struggling. Sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye I had to book it to work, had a client waiting for me at 845 ugh! Was happy to be out there though!
@Julie, I was so sorry we didn't get a chance to chat much before the race and didn't see you afterwards--didn't realize you had to work right after, oy! Great racing with you and loved your charge on the last lap before Harlem Hill. Looking forward to racing with you again soon!

Hey ladies! Re-posting this in the ladies group to introduce myself!

My name is Kristina Miele. I joined the club a month or so ago, but have been MIA (excuses excuses) due to major work overload and then was traveling in Iceland for a bit… but I’m back to the real world now, and wanted to introduce myself.

I was born and raised in the famous NYC bike destination Nyack, NY. I went to University of Vermont where I spent my senior year on the mountain biking team, falling in love with all things bike. I moved back to NY three or so years ago, and when I’m not biking or running or climbing or skiing etc. etc. I’m working as a structural engineer and living the good life in Brooklyn.

I am transitioning over from the dark world of triathlon (but still dabble a bit, I’ll be at the NYC tri next weekend) and am excited to get some more experience on my bike and hoping to get road racing soon. Weekends are usually a bit crazy for me, but I look forward to trying to get out for some group rides. If anyone is interested in some training laps in Prospect Park early weekday mornings, I would love to find a few training buddies, and anyone who might be available for Friday rides I have some summer Friday’s off and am trying to squeeze in as many bike adventures as possible.

Looking forward to get to know some of you!

Kristina

PS here is a picture of me with a Donkey I found on a mountain one time, because I don't have many sweet bike pics

Hi Kristina!! Welcome! The photo of you with the donkey is amazing!! I actually dont live in Brooklyn but I would be happy to meet you in Manhattan and do some training rides over the bridge. I have off during the week but my day off is Thursday if that works out for you! Looking forward to training and racing with you!
Hello all! I thought this season I'd actually get back into shape , go on a lot of group rides and possibly do some racing after recovering from the wrist break, but now it's good news why you don't see me much, (Kam and) I are pregnant! We are expecting our a girl cyclist in December
Welcome Kristina! Congrats, Daniella! Great news!
Thank you!

Welcome Kristina, nice donkey/altitude training photo.
Congrats!! So exciting!
Any Kissena women interested in joining the Rapha ride with me this Saturday?  Looks like some good climbing!  https://www.strava.com/clubs/94079/group_events/64088
I would love to but have to work Saturday...may be up for a ride on Sunday though :-)
Julie, that would be great! I know there is a women's rapha ride that leaves at 9am from GWB or maybe there will be a Kissena group ride as well.
Sorry I missed the Rapha ride, but I am also up for a ride tomorrow AM if anyone is interested!\
I'm definetly down for a ride tomorrow..thinking of leaving on the earlier side since its supposed to be like 90 degrees tomorrow....
Early works for me. Looks like there is a usual Kissena group ride heading out from BB at 8
Let's meet at 9am at GWB! There will probably other Kissenas too! Post on the group ride page if you're in. 7 of us did a ride to Piermont today. It was great!
I'm all in for tomorrow!
Any Kissena Women want to race R&A on Saturday with me?
Or Green Mountain Stage Race?
I have to work Saturday morning...boo!  I also may be away the weekend of GMSR...double boo!  Let me know if you or doing any other races....

I was thinking it would be nice to get as many of you together for a KCC women's team picture to post on our FB and twitter and website. Hopefully you can all find time to ride/meet/race together and make that happen.
I'll be racing on Saturday! And I'll be around for group rides the following weekend. If anyone else is around then it could be a good time for a photo op.
Next weekend would be good for me as well!
I am planning to race on Saturday as well... but may not be in town next weekend.
Good luck ladies! I am sure you will be great! I wish I could go but would never make it to work on time :-(
Let us know how it goes!! Represent for the tall girls!!!!
