4s, lets go smash this CRCA race up

R.
Would love to crack some heads with you guys but that's the first weekend of MAC. Road's pretty much done for me.
I'll register tonight. I've recovered from the concussion, am riding again, and am glad to see that there is one more goal before the season finishes up.

Good to hear. Very glad your fall was no more serious.
@Nathaniel: great to see you've recovered.

@ Ryan: would have been willing to work as a domestique (knew there was no cat. for old farts) but the same day is the Grand Prix de Montreal... (not racing there but will be recovering from watching the Grand prix cycliste de Quebec). For the same reason (vacation up north), I will be missing the Kissena championship race. What riders must do to preserve relationships!
I registered for the 4 race. Looking forward it.
@Nathaniel --glad you've healed-up Nathaniel. Scary to get a knock in the head like that. See you out on the road...
Thanks, Norm. I'm looking forward to racing with you and everyone else for as much as my legs and lungs will allow. When it gets closer, let's talk about how we'll get there. We're the first field to start, and I'll need a ride.
Norm and Nathaniel, great to have you. It's gonna be ab early morning.

No other takers? C'mon, climbers. Jules? Tito?
Ok, I'm in - I'll probably be getting involved in some stuff later that day for the 10th 9-11 anniversary, but our race starts early enough to get back in time. I'll reg when I get home today.
Ryan, Norm, Nathaniel - a pack of mountain goats! Yes!
Anyone got any info on this course (Map My Ride...)?
Reg'd.
Check the course. It has been shortened because of the Park renovating roads/bridges or something like that. Don't forget it is not a pure climber's course. I hope it will be better organized than the Spring race (no marshall at some intersections, marshall on the wrong side of a turn, etc.).

i know it's not a pure climber course, but the climb back up to welch from the hairpin will drop most rouleurs. at least it would eject me.
Mattie: do you have a link to this course?
Just signed up. Will head up Saturday to pre ride the course with my GF. Will stay local overnight. If anyone is interested in co-ordinating let me know.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Fall Bear cancelled!!!!

FROM: Nancy Morgenstern Memorial 2011 Fall Bear Mountain
-------------------------------------------------

Regrettably the Nancy Morgenstern 2011 Fall Bear Mountain race must be cancelled.

CRCA hopes to begin processing refunds by tomorrow or early next week and please check your form of payment for a credit at the end of next week.

The storm this past weekend severely damaged the Lake Sebago staging area we would use for the race, causing the hill to collapse, serious beach erosion and the collapse of sections of the road and parking lot. The Park will not allow the public to access the Lake Sebago area, and restoration of Lake Sebago will take several weeks if not longer. The only other possible staging area is Lake Welch, which already has an event on 09/11/11. Unfortunately, we are left with no option but to cancel.
Those guys are having a rough year. Hopefully 2012 will be better to The Bear.
Most unforunate. Unable to fight it out for the Bear, the non-cross climbing crew will have to make due with fighting over that varmint jawbone amongst ourselves. Tito... let's queue-up a show-down...
bad year for Bear
sounds like a depressing children's book
And if you haven't voted already, please consider voting for my coach and friend for years and years, Al Gandolfi. I know he hasn't written a statement, but he's really good people.
Has anyone got their money back yet? If so, how did you get it?
There may be no race, but there's a ride. If the party that I'm going to the night before doesn't last too long, I'l be there.

I haven't gotten my refund yet; I paid via Paypal so I'm hoping it'll just go back into my account.
Mine just showed up in my Paypal account.
I just received a notice for my refund, too.
Yah me too.
regarding the memorial ride on Sunday:

If you are planning on coming to the memorial ride this Sunday 9/11 (I know some of you have other plans that day- good luck to those racing!), the start place has been changed to GRANT'S TOMB on riverside drive and 125th street. Registration (free) is still 7:30, start is 8AM, so we should be at the GWB somewhere between 8:20-8:40, as Nancy's Dad will be saying a few things at the start.
