Oh man, Yacks, you kicked my booty on that last hill. I saw you inching your way up to me and just as I finished my last 15 min interval, you were there. I kept thinking the next turn is the top of the hill, but it just led to another damned turn. I finally realized Box Hill would simply go on for another 15 miles, all part of the fun and games of this cartoon world, and just couldn't hold it.
Kudos, sir, for kicking a fat kid when he's down. . .
You had a full minute on me at the base...I took a flyer at the bottom hoping to close the gap and sit on you...it sucked....but box hill is really a great little bump to work on power intervals. Just steep enough to be able to stay in the big ring and grind at about 85 rpms
so i think i've decided to not use erg mode when i'm doing workouts that have threshold or higher efforts. i find that i perceive it to be more difficult. what do other people do?
Yup, just before the last sprint interval so that was awesome.
Lots of family activities/obligations prevented me from riding outside in the glorious weekend weather. Not that I was complaining, I was eating pizza and ice cream and having a great time outside, but every time a bright flash of spandex and bare legs went by I got a little more sad knowing that I'd be sitting in my basement later that night riding on Zwift.
Can't make it to the Meet Kissena Ride outside tomorrow so will be doing the usual Saturday Morning Zwift session.
They're testing out a beta course for our ride (reverse London Loop) and requested that we keep an eye out for bugs, e.g. if the group turns in unison, etc.
http://www.zwiftpower.com/race.php?id=4231 I did a nice little race this morning...stayed with the ride the leader for the duration...as per instructions based on my FTP...sprinted and came out of my pedal at the end. It was a really good time...paced us up box hill twice and it was generally a really solid ride. I could have gone a little faster but overall my power looked good. Even figured out how to register and get my name in the results. Yacks likes
Well... I was doing the CRCA race...holding my own in the top 10...riding next to Ray Diaz mostly....then at the 13 & 17 mile marks my smart trainer dropped contact and I had to stop and re sync...I chased hard...but you know how that goes. Felt like I was in an episode of "Black Mirror"... Still when I looked at my watts compared to Ray's they are 1 watt apart. Gonna be cold again this weekend so Zwift race updates are all your gonna see for awhile.. Le Yacks http://www.zwiftpower.com/race.php?id=4429 https://www.strava.com/activities/892866077/overview
While I was on Zwift today, my internet connection went out for about 10 minutes or so. During that time, I was still riding, the miles and time ticked over, but there were no other riders. When my computer reconnected, distance and time were fine, and all the other riders appeared again.
