I can't get my Garmin HR to pair.
And then Margarite comes along to ride a couple of hours at his 300W tempo. No joke, that's a tempo pace for him.

FYI Charlie cancelled the Kissena specific rides/races from 2017 because I stopped leading them. If anyone wants to pick it back up we can probably ask him to set up another one.
We can meet up, say 9am? lmk what works for you.

I just got a new Apple TV and damn! I love the Zwift app integration. That was sooooo easy. All I have to do now is figure out how to meet up with you guys... I still don’t understand things like how to choose the island vs London. Maybe one of you regular zwifters (is that a word?) could post links for newbies. It would be good to get some regular Kissena group rides together.
Money last thing. I understand you can use the mobile app to message people. Sounds okay as long as you’re not in the pain cave. Is there a way to do audio chat? Anyone do so or is it too much of a bother? Inquiring minds want to know

You don't. Zwift is on a schedule, and the game puts everyone on the same place depending on its own schedule. There are ways to hack it, but then you'll be only person on the location.
Typically there are rides/races or "Zwift Events" you can sign up to. For example tomorrow, there's a ride at 8 am or another at 9 am that I'll join. We just have to agree which. You can see the schedule here:
Else we just have to find each other, just like we would on the real world.
When you are about to start, Zwift tells you if anyone you "follow" is riding, and lets you start your ride on their wheel.
Of course, you can just ride on your own. And workouts.
Not via zwift. People connect sometimes on their own -- via phone, whatsapp, or more commonly Teamspeak. I think Yang had setup a channel, not sure if we ever use it.
It is a word.
There's plenty of info out there about zwift. Some people take it crazy seriously.
My favorite resource is Shane Miller's "Swift Zwift Tips" -- here's all of them as a youtube playlist:
