I don't think you can join after it starts. In theory, you should be able to just join Kevin or anyone already in the group ride? You just won't see the private messages. Today's race might run a little longer than usual.
@PatrickGrehan not sure how to run discord never use it before... Downloading now and let me see
Thought the ride started an hour earlier so I’ll be there on time!
TR code for the group ride in case someone is using it.

And we're using discord to socialize for zwifties.

“See" yall soon.
Kissena Zwift Group Workouts are coming! Be on the look out for some Velocious codes to get yourself on one of two 8-week plans starting next Mon 5/4!

Reminder, tomorrow May 1st 7:30AM

we'll do another Zwift Virtual Look Sharp Meetup.

If you want to join:
  • You will need to follow me on zwift
  • Let me know here or text (347.225.1058) that you want to join
  • I'll invite you to the meetup
  • You accept the invite
We'll ride about 40km, super mellow at 2.0ish w/k, yet to pick the final course as the May course schedule has not yet been posted.

7 of us are already signed up, Last week was a lot of easy fun, come join us!
PM or AM?
Meetup is at 7:30am -- thanks for clarifying Jules!
Look sharp in bumblebee and orange cap? More importantly sock length?
will send another note tonight, but yeas, wear the bumblebee 'Basic 1' jersey, if you can orange socks, orange cap.

cheers!
Hey Eloy, pretty sure I can join - please invite me. Thanks.
Invited, Jim.
A few notes for tomorrow's meetup
  • 7:30am is the start time
  • Login and be ready earlier than the meetup, you can't join late, and zwift released an update, which could take a few minutes to fully download
  • Wear the "Basic 1" Bumblebee jersey, and if you can orange socks, orange hat
  • We'll ride around 2.0 w/k
  • I'll be the ride leader/beacon, just stay close the beacon
  • We'll ride 41 km chilling on a flatish virtual course
  • The companion app is your friend, use it to text/chat
  • Will be fun!
Looking forward!
@eloy Hoping I'm not too late to opt in and hoping I wake up in time!
Not sure what happened but it didn’t show up for me, hopefully I can figure it out for the next one!
@Nathaniel Picard Busky are you on the latest version of Zwift and/or using apple TV to connect?
we missed you Nathaniel!

fun easy times in a empty Virtual London, Rob, Rich, and Bobby sprinted and got a hold of the green jersey, and we all hit some pr's. Appreciated the banter and easy miles, thanks everyone!

some virtual shots:

The guy in the TT bike looks pro
@JohnOlsson I'm on my macbook and I'm on Zwift version 1.0(23) it didn't prompt an update when I started it up so maybe that was it. It's also possible you have to be riding already in order to join a meetup? I was just waiting on the landing page for the meetup to show up in the top right scroll window, I'll try getting on earlier and cruising around for a bit next time!
Just like any other group ride, you need to be logged in and riding before you get the option to join as a big button on the lower left.

Additionally for meetups you must accept the invite on the companion app, before you are logged in and riding.
So many rules! I'll add these Zwift best practices to the group training manual
Hold up I just realized that some of the bikes had bidons and others do not. See last screenshot in Eloy's  snaps.
that's a helluva good eye there Dave
I mean it took me 5 years to notice, so you know, my eyes might be okay, but I'm obviously not the sharpest cog in the set.
So long as it isn't a 12 speed cog, you're good ;)
I feel like Rip Van Winkle with gear, when the hell did 12spd happen for road?
Shortly after hydraulic braking happened, then unhappened, then happened again, while electronic motors went from the back wheel to the bottom bracket, and people started putting drop bars on mtn bikes and strapping tents to their seatposts, all while growing waxable mustaches and stretching bib shorts down to their kneecaps.

Nice Zwift event a week and a half away. Given the Route it should take about 2 hours to complete.

Hope you can join!
