John - baselayers should now be available.
Thanks Jim, that worked.
Hey guys, any news on the team kit order?
The CS website says in Production but I'll reach out to our rep Chris and see if he can give us a better sense.
Thanks @jim_nelson

Team,

Planning to open a kit order next week. Time to think about cool weather and cyclocross gear.

Cheers,
Jim

Team,

Good news - a kit order is open and will stay open until 11:59pm on Thursday August 2nd.

If you are a 2018 member in good standing you should get a personalized email with instructions - let me know if you don't or if there are any issues.

Happy ordering and remember to Look Sharp!

Cheers,

Jim

Team,

Please note that we are working to get blue training kit (discussed over in the Kit Connoisseur thread) added to the order but there are some technical difficulties. If you hope to order some of the blue kit, please hold off until I say one way or another if it's going to happen this go around - I'm hoping to know today or tomorrow at the latest.

Cheers,
Jim
Does anyone have a TL;DR description of the three jackets available? Other than price and a few subtle details, it's hard to tell the difference between them when you read the descriptions.
There are I believe 5 jackets on offer.

The Apex is the top of line, super high quality expensive stuff. The thermoshield with 3 pockets is great. The one pocket with zipper "windgard" is a waste of time, that zippered pocket is a torture chamber. Tech fleece is just a thick long sleeve jersey. Just make sure it has 3 open pockets. Don't know or care about the others. Hope this helps.

FYI - the blue kit order will be via a separate store that will open in the wee hours tomorrow. Go ahead and order your regular kit with the link sent via the email on Thursday and look for a new email with a link to the blue kit store. They will be open simultaneously.
Thanks for your work @jim_nelson

I am excite for Blue Kit. I see this being really nice for some Farmer's Daughter/ D2R2 / and other dirty dirty adventures.

to add to Eloy's description...

The Thermoshield is a staple winter jacket.  Fleece-backed windproof material everywhere but under the arms and the side panels, which are stretchy fleece.   It doesn't stretch much, so I went with a size larger than I use for jerseys--I like jerseys tight in most cases. I usually wear a small in jerseys; had to go with medium for Thermoshield.  I wear it with a single base layer when it's 39f out, and I layer up underneath as it gets colder.  I've worn it down into the high teens.  It's also super durable.  I still have the first one I got back in 2005 or 2006 and it still is in pretty good shape.  so long as you don't rip it in a crash, it will last and last and last.

the Tech Fleece is another staple outer layer. Unlike the thermoshield, it's super stretchy.  I find the fleece a bit thin, which has it's benefits and drawbacks. Below 45, I need two layers underneath it, but it can also work in the low 50s with a light sleeveless base layer.  Thanks to the stretch, it's pretty easy to layer, even when you start with a pretty sleek fit.
I just saw a discount promotion on the Champion Systems website homepage that said you can use discount code "july15off" to get 15% off all custom apparel orders placed in July.

I asked CS but haven't heard back yet. Will let everyone know as soon as I do.

Team,

Thanks for your patience on the blue kit order. Still a bit of back and forth with Champ Sys but hope to have it open in the next day or two. We'll keep it open for a week so you should have plenty of time to get your orders in.

A number of you have asked about the discount code above. I should hear from them today and I'll post here.

Look for an email.

Cheers,

Jim
It appears the discount code can be applied. I bought white kit before I knew about the deal, and just got a refund receipt from CS.

Yep, I talked to CS this morning. All orders placed in this "store" will get the 15% discount, applied going forward until the store closes and retroactively to those orders already placed.

Jim, can you post link to white kit store? I can’t seem to get it, only the blue. Thanks.
Jim - this should work.

Let me know if it doesn't.

Thanks
Jim, all good on normal kit. Can you re-post link for blue kit? When I go into blue store on Champ-Sys, all I get are proofs, but no ability to order. Thanks and sorry

I'm getting the same experience. I can see the blue proofs, but no dice when I 'click to order'
The blue team kit order is not open yet. Jim is working out an issue with CS and will announce when it is open
What's the general opinion between the Apex and Performance bib shorts? I ordered the Apex shorts last time and they're fine. Just wondering if the Performance shorts are "good enough."

they are almost the same, performance will be good enough.
