Weather is too nice...I might have to skip.

More seriously, I'm considering doing a hard, hilly as possible, ride instead to prep for Harriman.  I can't do it Sunday as I'm doing BikeNY with my son.
makes sense...
@twoyacks Do Masters and we'll have a squad.

Do we have a mtb section? And if u do a mtb race on your cross bike is it filed under cross or mtb? What if u use a gravel bike for a mtb race??? So confusing

For the 6/9/18 Masters race

overall lead
1. Lynn Murray (jordan) 2. John Loehner (weather channel), 3. Juan Pineda (montclair), 4. Karl Rahn (weather channel). 5. Chris Loehner (Brands)

KoM
1. Danny Inoa (axis). 2. Paul Carbonara (axis). 3. John Loehner. 4. Alan Buday (jordan) 5. Kevin Molloy (weather channel)

Sprint
1. Lynn Murray 2. Karl Rahn 3. David Sommerville (Vela) 4. Terrence Chioffi (rapha) 5. Matthew Slossberg (jordan).  The first three are tied on points at 11.

Teams with six riders: Brands, Axis, Jordan, Wonder Wheels, Mineola, Montclair.
None of Weather Channel's hitters are starting.

We have five: Eloy, JP, Jeff, John Powell, James Nelson.

I'm guessing that Axis will tag team for the KoM's while Jordan will do a little to keep it together for the sprints.  Brands and Montclair will ride for the finish--Brands will want a sprint while Juan can certainly ride the break and is savvy enough to find it.

If there's a break, Jordan's Jose Guzman might well be in it. Other good breakaway riders are: JP Rorech (ws united), Stephen Dioslaki (metra), Zeb Nelessen (van dessel), It will take the right combination, however, so expect it will probably need a Jordan or Brands rider to work.

While I'm feeling under raced, my overall fitness seems pretty good.

Would it make sense to each pick a couple people to shadow some of those break heavy hitters and go when they go?

It makes sense.  But I think we should be attuned to the sprint and KoM finishes, as they can be either kill a break or serve to launch a break.

I think the KoM fight killing a break more than the sprint, as I could see Jordan sitting back if no one with any points goes up the road before a sprint.  Rahn isn't there and Sommerville won't be able to score points and they can save themselves for the finish.  However, Jordan rarely seem to have their act together enough to pull this off.
But you gotta expect Dioslaki or Zeb keyed into those opportunities. So having somebody who is their shadow during those key moments means you don’t have the moment of hesitation when you ask “who’s got that” while they’re charging up the road.

Granted i I doubt I could match Dioslaki acceleration but being on his wheel might be better than being on the other side of the group.
