So Yack will be lobbing water balloons at the cat 2/3 Castelli race again

I regd for orchard Beach and have a wedding this weekend. Might not even be able to do orchard unfortunately due to work. Good luck at Castelli! 

@Thierry Bonnaire wish I had known! I'm kind of saving the race legs for Sunday, I'll jump in for another one for sure. 

@ChristinaWoolston same holds up for Floyd Bennett's. When I raced last week, one or two women rode with the CAT 4/5 men.

If only there was some kind of mechanism, driven perhaps by light signals, or electricity. Some kind of messaging protocol that everyone could read in their homes. Some kind of "net" if you will, connecting everyone. Then people would be able to identify themselves, and "log in" even to hear or read the status of things they cared about. Charlie would be able to place a message - post it even for people to read.

Oh well. I guess we'll never know.

I rode down to the Bike NY Expo and back today--I'm doing the ride with my son--and the rain on the way home was biblical.  Lots of flooding on the west side bike path.  Unless it stops soon, I have a hard time imagining the course won't be flooded at the south end tomorrow.

You think we can squeeze a bike race through there in the morning????
looks like most of it is in the joggers lane?

I just returned from Prospect Park and the far left recreation lane at the bottom of the downhill is flooded.  The water is receding however.

At 9pm this evening I will visit the Park again to review the road conditions.  If the recreation lane is flooded we cannot race.  If the race is cancelled another email will be sent.

There is also a huge lake at the top of the hill where it dips down before you go down the hill. Takes up the whole right lane. There is also a ton of debris on the roads where there was more flooding.
