A bit late to the party, but I have a chance for a Farmer's Daughter ticket transfer.

In case anyone has never done a BikeReg transfer, I was only credited $60 of the $70 and had to make up the difference. As the transferer I believe you do not get anything back.

I've done the full Dirty Apple route, though not during the official event. It's a great ride with a few killer dirt climbs with stretches in the 8-10% range. The roads are well groomed for the most part - it is Westchester after all.

there is only 5000ft of climbing on 55miles of catskills backroads. I'll be doing this and I may be able to host some folks at a house about 45 minutes from the start.

There are still quite a few registration slots since this had a little bit less of a reputation than Farmer's Daughter.

I have no special inside knowledge, but given the virus + issues with RCC in past, I have low expectations for there being a SupercrossCup this year. Then again, I have my doubts about most CX races. I hope I am wrong about this

Does anybody have any tips on how to seek out gravel roads while using RWGPS

On the website, there’s a “Find” tab. Try “Starts within 5miles of Cold Spring” and “Keywords gravel”. 

Two slightly different things... one is finding gravel "routes", the tip above from William should help. And these can be a great way to get started on a custom route.

Finding gravel "roads" when creating a new route from scratch is a little bit trickier, the best tip I have is dropping the Google Map Orange Street View character and getting a sense of what is happening. If street view is not available, that's often an ok sign that the road might be dirt, but you run the risk of it not being rideable.

As an additional tip, if planning a route on a unknown area, on RWGPS, check your route on satellite view too, and make sure you can see the road on the view. Else there might be no road.

And lastly, as a total sidenote, what turned out to be a big life lesson for me: if ever, anytime, while riding, or at work, or in life, if the map and the terrain don't agree: trust the terrain.
