Wait, Myles, you are involved with Nats? Holy shit, why don't you communicate such awesomeness with us more often? Had I known you were down there, I would have been, "Alright, alright, ahhhhhlright."

So glad Myles the groundhog has popped his head out of the ground...looks like 6 more weeks of winter.

Now if we were to look at an objective figure say AVERAGE POWER...you might see that my weighted avg power was 242 compared to your 176....If anyone was "noodling" for 57 miles, it be ye hoss...it be ye...

"weighted" is key.  Lower power is from lower weight.

Enjoy the donuts.

Races are won in the winter.

If I'm not riding with you, I want to make sure you've got a hellhound on your tail.

love.

Looks like weather is conspiring against us. In anticipation of crap Sunday and Monday (although I'm still hopeful for 3 days in a row of outdoor riding), I'm planning on a wormhole special on SATURDAY. You know the one with the really awesome climb at the "turn-around" point.

From what I recall, this makes it like 100 miles for Brooklyn folks if they ride both ways to and from the bridge. Hence, if you are interested in joining me for a nice endurance ride, you might consider taking the A-train to the GWB one or both ways.

I'd love to have company. Join me. 9am GWB departure (can be flexible on time if any potential joiners must leave earlier, or a touch later).

SUNDAY, fingers crossed, figured the standard Kissena group ride route with the usual turn-around points. Longer riders, we could throw in some lesser known climbs and go inland for our return trip if the thought of tempo on 9W puts you to sleep.

Planning to go out Saturday but need to be home before noon so I'll need to go out earlier if anyone is willing.
I'm going out on Saturday...the LIE service road is beautiful this time of year...

Yacks - is that code for the triangle ride on saturday?

Roll call! Who's up for Saturday wormhole action starting at 9am on the Jersey side of the GWB? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

May he too damn cold sat. If I ride it will likely be Sunday ...I tend to go out about 10 am as it is a bit warmer
I'm rolling the rain dice and going out Sunday

Grumble. 15 degrees is too cold. 18 and sunny is okay though. May fuss with my departure time to take advantage. Also looks like Sunday may be dry and warm until about 11 am. I think it might be worth fussing with our start time to get in some dry group riding.

We could think of it as sleep deprivation training for park racing this spring!
Sunday for me.

Grumble.

It isn't.  I'd be out there if I didn't have family stuff that takes precedence.  I'd offer up a mid-day departure if I could peg an exit time.

I'll probably be out Sunday, even if it rains.
I'll be there Sunday and open for something Monday as well.
Tomorrow is a bit cold for an early Nyack/Piermot ride.

Instead I will be in Prospect Park at 10am.
Meet at GAP or simply ride backwards to meet the group.

Gwynna,

I've got Ilya working up some hot mods for my off road machine. Should be done soon and I hope to join you for some dirt action. But probably not this weekend.

I don't know what this means, except you definitely called me a wimp. Which are fighting words.

"Exit time?" As in exit your apartment? Family duties running on the "unknown distance" rules I guess?

Well since there are no other takers for Saturday, I'm going to be more relaxed about my departure time. Looks like sunny and 21 in Piermont by 11am and warmer from there. So maybe kicking out at 10ish is the way to go tomorrow.
I would do GWB at 11?

JP, 11am work for you? I'd still like to ride wormhole (maybe the shorter one though, given that Monday looks nicer for longer day) style.

Wait, are those S-video cables? I'm about to start layering up for my trip over a bridge to Upper "Zion" River, NJ. Still, I have hopes that I'll run into the lady in red for a hug along the way.

PS Brendan, I'll be on the Jersey side of the GWB at 11. I'll wait as long as cooling fingers allow.
I'll be there! Please do wait. I should be on time
