I'll be there shredding legs and ripping throats.

I might well be there Saturday.  Sunday is racing.
Not gonna make it today.
didn't make it myself.  Will hopefully see folks on the way back.
after missing earlier, will be at the park for a few mellow laps at 11am, in case anyone wants to join: 347.225.1058
Good times on river road today with Jeff and Jill and David H. who caught up to us at Piermont. Even Phil made a cameo as I rolled back home along 34th Ave in Queens.

True to his word, Whitey put on an impressive show of fast cadence breakaway power over and over again.

Caught a flat on the Queensboro Bridge even with Conti 4 Seasons, so that was fun.

Thanks to Yang for turning the screws the whole time, and to David Hocker for mezmerizing us with his Technicolor Dreamjersey.
I was coming home from my LI ride @David Yang.

And I caught the tail end of the triangle ride on the LIE as well by Glen Cove Rd. There was another Kissena there but I didn't recognize him. The sun was strong but wasn't as humid so yay. This was an easy ride.
I feel dirtier in that jersey with each passing day. It's like I sweat out acid.

What Yang neglected to mention was that he may or may not have been cat 6'ing up the queensbridge bridge when he flatted...

Thanks for the great ride guys!
Haha yeah, I was trying to shake this commuter guy off my wheel with his rattling ulock stuck in his front rack.  Totally instant karma.
@Phil Maronilla hit me up the next time you go out for triangle.
For anyone not going to GMSR:

I've been itching for a long ride, so I'm planning on a Bear Mountain excursion at some point over Labor Day weekend. Last time was 120 miles with 7500' of elevation, this time I'm thinking 125 with just above 8000'. Will be a most-of-the-day affair, with plenty of stops for food & drink - I don't have any aspirations except making it there and back in one piece, so the pace will probably be relaxed with spirited climbs. I've done the ride semi-solo before, and that got super boring on the way home, so I'm hoping to get a few more to join me. I'm really flexible that weekend, so whatever day works best for the most people is fine with me.

Tentative route: https://www.strava.com/routes/6283780 (if anyone has suggestions for the route I'm all ears)
I might come with you guys but turn around after a certain point. I would love to do the whole thing but I can't stay out for 7 or 8 hours, I have people visiting during the weekend... :|
But I will join you for the first part!
@GiacomoVischi sweet! So far I think 'you guys' is just me, but I'm still looking for some company if anyone has a day to kill this weekend. May also end up leaving Bear Mountain for another day and turning it into an ~80-90 mile route.

Early October (Oct 7/8?), I'm all in for a full out ride to Bear Mountain, over the bridge to Peekskill and grabbing food and beer at the Brewery and taking the train back to Grand Central.  From BK, it's about 80 - 90 miles and prob 8,000' of climbing, especially if we take in alpine, bradley, watertower, and orchards, before climbing Bear.   From BK, it's a full day (8am BB - ~5/6pm arrive at Grand Central).  All pretty badass in my book, especially taking in the changing of the fall colors.
I would be interested in both @Scott Kuhlke @SebastianVidal .  @SebastianVidal might not be there the whole distance this weekend but happy to tag along.
I vote for saturday morning ride, 3-4 hours and save the big mountain one for october maybe when it can be a great team ride...? What do you think?
This all sounds good to me (shorter ride this weekend & mountains in October).

9 am GWB tomorrow?
Great, I can be there even earlier if it is ok for you, like 8:00-8:30 GWB.
where are we going? I can pull off some routes like around 90-100 km from GWB... sounds reasonable?
8:30 and that distance sound good to me!
Alright, see you tomorrow then!
I'll try to make it. 8:30 on NJ side of GWB?
Need a long ride ahead of next weekend. Got strong armed into doing the NJ Gran Fondo...
Update: going to meet up with some non-Kissenas for Satuday morning, should be at GWB around 8
ok, 8 am GWB B)
Early but ok.
8 AM?  have you no souls?

have fun tomorrow ye early risers!  maybe i'll see folks sunday.
@Brendan Rigby
Care for a standard hour ride tomorrow, 8BB/9GWB?
i'm going to play it by ear re: tomorrow 9am gwb.  i just got finished wrestling with a set of fenders and i put in more miles this week than usual so i might want to sleep in.  right now i'd say i'm wholeheartedly 50/50.
Anyone else shooting for the 9am gwb?
Heading tomorrow, Labor Day monday, Sept 5th to Cunningham Park on the CX bike. Should be there around 8:30am.
