Yes and no.  9W and Riverside will be clear for the most part.  Will just see a few happy cyclists in Piermont.
FYI - Riverside Drive now completely paved with super smooth tarmac; glorious!!
I plan on joining group ride at BB tomorrow and heading to Piermont or locations further north
Same here!
Good riding with William and Mark today. Solid endurance ride with a climb up Clausland and some spirited riding with some guys from Strictly. We ran across some deer on Bradley. I took pics as we rode by, but mostly just got their “butts.”  That is why l leave the photography to eloy.

Great times !
We also chatted with this guy at the bridge, heading out on a "Search and state " ride

Is it too early to post for this wknd? Not when you’ve been itching to ride ... I’m avail Sat 9/29 GWB 9am :)
Meet Kissena this Saturday and Sunday the 7th
Meet Kissena rides: 9:00am Saturday September 29 and Sunday October 7.
Rides leave promptly from NJ side of George Washington Bridge.
Route is River Road to Piermont and 9W return, around 30 miles.
(We have five signed up already.)

i've had a setback with my elbow but i will try and be there Saturday.
Oh man, don't tell me you fell on it.
no fall. but i angered it and it's been swollen for a week.
Will! take good care!
That sucks Will, if you feel need to sit it out, do it. I know what an angry elbow is like.

Btw, we have four women and fourteen men signed up (will have better sense of actual numbers later tonight), so if you're planning on joining I'd appreciate it if you post here.

P.S. The ride is no-drop, so we need to keep the tempo less than warp-speed. There will be opportunities to hammer and regroup (RR-bumps, Alpine, Columbia Campus, state-lines) and an option to go do Bradley-Tweed. We also might decide to do a fast group that leaves early from Piermont, depends on fitness of the group. Most importantly, when you're at the back of the group, you need to play sweeper, that means if someone's otb, you get to the front and get the leaders to slow.
Sounds all good, see you tomorrow.  Will - hope that elbow heals up quickly.
My plan has been to race at Floyd tomorrow, but it's been a rough week so I might join the Meet Kissena ride instead.
@JohnMalcolmson I’ll join the Meet Kissena ride. Any of the new folks coming from Brooklyn?
Probably, 20 people signed up now!

Anyone riding Sunday 9/30? 9am GWB.

Been a while.  Looking to do the club route and thing.
Anyone doing Prospect Park laps tomorrow morning?

Just me at the bridge.  Was feeling a sore throat coming on, so I resovled to go (sorta) easy.  Ended up with a group of five going north.  Peeled off a Piermont, and looked for a friendly group to ride back with.  Though I found it at the bike shop, but they were going north, too.  so I headed back alone.  Helped some folks lost on the Jersey Gravel Grinder then caught a friend on stateline and chatted the whole way back.

Should have taken a nap upon my return.
Really good new member ride. Thanks to all that showed. 9W was a total mess btw, tons of sand and rocks and washout.

There's a second new member ride this sunday 9am GWB.

Looks like I won't be back to lead it, post here if you can attend/lead. It's not complicated, just take a list of names and tell people how to ride in a group (car-up, hole!) and talk to people.
I'll be back Guyana, happy to help out and sweep around the back like last time.  Can take names etc.  How to ride in a group - probably not the go to guy for this, still working out the difference between peds and holes....
I’ll be heading from BK Sunday!
Guys, I am home with fever since friday, I won't be able to make it to the new members ride tomorrow. I am sorry.
If there are not enough Kissenas reps does it make sense to postpone the ride to next weekend?

I'll ride tomorrow.
I have some family stuff to deal with , can't make this ride😔
I'll be there.  My preference is to be with the group til Piermont and then go on to Rockland Lake before heading back.  If we lack for leadership, I'll finish the ride with the group.
So we have Phil and Rob for tomorrow, plus me.  JM, how many are we meeting?  Same spot as last time?  What's the policy on wet weather?  Cheers
thanks for covering guys
