pretty crappy weekend for me , but I did manage to get out today solo
coming home reminded me of the amazing artwork on the Mogwai LP

Chose the worse possible day to do my first Bear Mountain ride. My view was totally obstructed by dense fog, my phone died, I got lost somewhere in NJ, broke a spoke on my rear wheel and had to take the train home. However, on the bright side of an overcast day, I made a new friend and did my first century ride. 

Group ride up to Piermont/Nyack happening on Sat/Sun?

8am BB, 9am GWB tomorrow...destination TBD

My sister swam competitively through much of her childhood.  I got dragooned into going to a few.  They were long, long days, with very little going on.  I felt for my parents, though it might be why I didn't ask them to take me to more than a handful of bike races when I was too young to drive and wasn't in a club.

Kiwi slang isn't a strong suit of me, but I think i get the idea.

It was me, Robert M, Scott G, and I believe Rich F at the bridge.  They were amenable to a wormhole, so we went west through Fort Lee, then north up to Congers, and didn't see 9W until we crossed it at Palisades Ave in Engleood Cliffs.  

other than getting pulled over and lectured by a cop in Valley Cottage, who, as usual, didn't really know the law, I think I good time was had by all.  While the ethics of it are questionable, I think next time, I should let the guys with the foreign accents do the talking and apologizing.  Maybe the lecture will be cut short.

Great route. No time spent on 9w or RR. Spending the rest of the day recovering (eating). 

Cop up was not prepared to offer us an escort back home. Disappointed.

Fantastic day today, everyone pushed it hard!! No hesitation from the group to hit Bradley / Twead. John M was riding on fiber, so he got his tire replaced during the session
