Group Ride (Sat & Sun)

I'll be there. Bringing a guy I met at liberty state park on Thursday. He's thinking about joining a club for next season, so I thought, nothing better than a JP ride for a good intro!
Adam, Nigel, me met up at the GWB along with Nigel's friend Geoff and Marc Bertucco.

You shouldda come. Think we're at peak foliage.

Chilly start, but it warmed up nicely. With it being a bit cool and not sure how my legs were, I chose what I took to be a relatively flattish route. North to Chestnut Ridge, then over to Congers. I had hoped to ride the gravel from Haverstraw to Nyack, but I could see we weren't going to hit the 12:30 return I had promised, so off to Rockland Lake and the gravel trail back to Nyack (No gravel bikes needed). The sun was hitting the water just so. Then, the straightest way back--Nyack, Piermont, Sparkill, then to 9W for the rumble home.

Turned out, I ended up with 4150' of climbing. Not so flat for 69 miles. We managed to roll pretty quickly most of the way. Not killing it on the hills kept the group closer together and saved legs for the final push.

I'll be at the GW at 9 tomorrow for anyone who wants to join.
Sorry folks.

Can't make it tomorrow.  A family activity I thought was Saturday is tomorrow, and there's no way I can make it work.  It's on on LI and I was thinking about bringing my bike on the train, but then we were offered a ride from Queens and I don't know the people, so probably wise not to ask to bring my bike along.
FWIW, I expect to be at the GWB at 9.  Not sure which bike or which route.
Done.

A bit slower solo, and on slower wheels.  And I didn't kill the hills, either.  Trying to work my way down to a winter tempo.

Planning on being at the GWB tomorrow (Sat) at 9am. going to be chilly but sunny

Sunday, 9am GWB.  I'll be there.  Open for whatever, but considering the predicted temp, a steady pace will be the way to ride.
Good ride today with Jeff C. and Mark T. Not as sunny as we hoped and the wind gusts were occasionally an issue. We compared the effectiveness of our various Champ Sys kit. A good day, but not one to stop for any length of time
Don't know where people were this morning.  A bit chilly, but the flurries were barely intermittent, so there was little to worry about.

While I was dressed right for the weather, my hamstrings were unusually sore. Made it hard to roll at the tempo I like.  Don't know if it was from some of the running intervals I was doing earlier in the week.

I'll be there, Sunday 9am.  Unless there are needs to get back sooner, my projected return to the GWB is 12:30-12:45.  Open to whatever in that time.

I rode with my son Cedric this morning. He joined NICA, a school mountain biking league. The name of the team NYCranks. Today was their first practice in Cunningham. They will start racing in the spring. I highly recommend it.
Tomorrow (sunday), 10:30 am at Cunningham for 2-2.5 hours of post CX season trail riding. reply here or text +1 646 620 7179, or meet at the trailhead.
See you there @James Reeder

Apparently I ride Cunningham a lot - I became the local legend on the "First Quarter" segment. That was a super fun day day out riding with you all!

Sunday 9am GWB.  My desire is to get back between 12:30 and 12:45.  Can start by going to piermont for those who want to do a coffee run.
Took a run to Cunningham , had the place to myself , I just got a new pair of wheels , Hunt xc Race , allowing me to run a XG cassette I ended up saving 700g on the stock wheels
feels like a completely different bike ,Also picked up new shoes at pros closet for $108 , perfect for a rainy day
