sweet! see you there!
Good times this morning; just me & Joel on an impromptu #familyman's ride.  Joel hung tough without knee warmers as we tore almighty heck though the predawn hours.  Apparently riding behind Aldo is good prep :)

#Highlight of the morning was the view of the sunrise over Lake Prospect
#Strangelight was the sparrow that sat unmoving on the road as I passed just inches away from him/her
#Lowlight was the severe case of #snowmonkey in the shower afterwards

great stuff this morning, jules - loved your drill and thanks for letting me tag along. ha! yes... between K-club and Aldo in my regiment, should keep me warm this winter. Still amazed how you are able to spot a sitting sparrow while hauling at 6am. Next time you see me, I may not be showing knees :)

Wow! Big crowd today; the newest (Jeff) member, oldest (tenure) member (Club Champ Ragot) and everyone in between. Yang & I peeled off to suffer, Kayt & Jim headed for secret CX course #7 and we ran into Ingrid just before leaving. Fingers still numb, lungs still oozing pain juice...
Was great riding with you guys Tuesday morning and it was nice to meet you Bruce! Ill be there tomorrow morning for sure.

I could not wake up, maybe I'll try tomorrow and meet the new recruits.

I'm going to try to make it tomorrow am.
Cool. I'll try to join in tomorrow am. Although, may land up making it to the park only by 7am
I'll be out on the cx bike.
Jim - you go out with skinny tires or knobbies?
I'll be out tomorrow morning. Still on the skinny tires, but the knobbies are close!
Knobbies!
I will be out @ 6am, planning on either a version of "The Worst" along center drive or sprints.
I'm going to try to join (although morning reliability is low these days).  Will see you in the worstershires.
Fail.  Sorry Mr. Yang!
No probs.  I woke up late and caught up with Thierry, Kayt, and Bruce at the bottom of the hill.  I did some weak sprint work, Bruce did his brutal TTs, and Thierry and Kayt did a few sprints with me and headed off to kick some ass.

Tomorrow is my TT day.  I hate TT day.  I hate Wednesdays.  They go together like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong
I had a great time watching the sunrise with such great teammates, Kayt blew me away on how strong she has become. I'll be back tomorrow for sure just having fun on my bike.
Good to see you guys this morning.  Yeah, I got in some good TT practice and then eased way back to have a pleasant lap or two in the park and dodge ever increasing trucks parked on the road.

I like Wednesdays now because I've pulled them out of my training rotation.  I still get up, but have coffee and read the news.  Occasionally I do so while wearing my jersey, and smirk wryly in the direction of my half-lidded, sleeping bicycle.
I am heading out shortly for some tempo time. Be there around 4 prolly.
I'll be in the park too
I'm following Bruce's lead buy replacing all that poetic stuff with sleep...
After a month hiatus from all things non-museum related (I think I remember what my wife looks like), I'm looking forward to finally getting back out to the park in the mornings!
Until then, here's a little something I've been up to. If I survive riding this bike everyday, I'm assuming I can survive winter training.

See you soon.
Wait, I gotta do one more for sense of scale. Last work related item. Promise.

See you tomorrow morning.
motorcycle rollers??
I'll be there tomorrow. I've been listening to my legs and taking it easy for the past couple days, but their vacation is over.
motorcycle rollers??
Essentially. Of the three-ton variety.

I'll be there tomorrow. I've been listening to my legs and taking it easy for the past couple days, but their vacation is over.
I'll make a good-faith effort to be out there as well.
Nice laps this morning, with Josh sans motorcycle, Thierry, Eric, and Craig.  Kayt started with us, on her wonderful red CX machine, and promptly disappeared into the netherworld of a park I'm told exists inside the circles I inscribe on these rides.

A warm-ish morning, with characteristic pockets of cooler air.  NYCC was out doing laps, as well as the prospect peloton, and then our group picked up other riders looking for a draft, like pilot fish navigating in our wake.

And then I played leap-frog with riders on my commute, as I slowed and usually stopped at red lights, then cruised past them.
Good to be out this morning and get some cobwebs outta my knees.
Glad to be back and looking forward to more.
My habitual reward for making it to the afternoon is reading Bruce's account from morning training rides. Great seeing you guys this morning, albeit so briefly.

I was grateful no one was there to witness my cyclocross-- more like cycloblunder-- session, where I got some nice new bruises and admitted defeat in 30 minutes. How the likes of Jim, Jules and Eric make it look like a graceful dance is beyond me. Jerks.
@jules. You've been elevated into my handling category. Awesome!
