For those of you who are feeling left out of the look sharp because you don't feel like you're sufficiently Kissenaed out...we were discussing a Look Sharp ride, but without Kissena kit. So wear your favorite non-Kissena kit. So if you've got a closet full of Rapha, La Vie Claire or the very nice Readbeard kit this will be your opportunity to dress sharp in something other than the classic Kissena.
There will be plenty of alert for our Other Sharp ride, so keep an eye out here.
YES. There will be a look sharp when you don't have to wear kissena colors. It is gonna be amaze.
That ride is not tomorrow.
Redbeard kits are fully allowed on all look sharp rides, including tomorrow -- bcs that kit is mega sharp y'all -- Otherwise, tomorrow, wear kissena colors, and come looking sharp. It will also be amaze.
Goal #1 always, every ride and every race, is to look good on the bicycle.
Documentation of the fact that I managed to (briefly… periodically…) hang on for dear life to @eloy and @Dan Reiners wheels for "race winning sprints" this AM. New Strava seg PRs… feels good leading into my first race Saturday.
Meet at 6:00 am at GAP. We'll ride for about 90ish minutes. Super mellow. Will include openers for those racing Saturday. Wear Kissena colors and come looking sharp. just in case, on looking sharp:
Three downed trees in the park this morning, and there may have been more that I didn't see. One on the bike path along Prospect Park West, another on the West side across the two lanes and into the running lane passed the new start/finish, the third on the East side, across the running lane and one bike lane, just before the old start/finish. They were pretty much in a straight line from each other, so looks like a small tornado went through the park. Big trees, too. It's going to make me think twice and check the weather before going out, as these quick squalls coming through seem to carry fast winds. I'm wondering if this chaos is the new norm for our weather.
Anyone interested in a morning ride tomorrow? I'm finally resigned to start morning training again. I'm cool with any pace. I was thinking of getting there at 7am, but I'm flexible. Any takers?
@DavidHocker definitely, was thinking to get there around 6:30 and do a couple easy laps + a couple finish line sprints (hard up the hill, FTP to the 200 yrd mark, sprint to the PP finish)
