It means that the "arm" of the brakes is much longer, is an old school way to allow for more tire clearance.

In the frame/fork it means that the place where you attach the brake is a bit further from the wheel...

FYI ,i have these on an old steel frame, that i picked up on ebay pretty cheap, they work ok

@Mark Taylor I might just get the Tektros because they’re pretty cheap. I don’t plan on racing the Mr. Pink, so don’t need super brakes.

Redbeard rents a big case, I used it last year and did not have to touch the seatpost (ymmv)

Thanks @RichFreeman I'm sure one of them should work. Let me do some investigation on sizes and let you know. I'm traveling in August so would love to pick it up sometime during that first week if possible. 

All good, my favorite is the Buxum which is bigger and heavier but has an internal mount (front and back) and is really easy to wheel about.

I’ve got a pair of lightly used Hutchinson Fusion 5 Storm All-Season Road Tubeless tires I’m getting rid of. Anyone interested?

They’re around $50-60 each brand new. I’ll sell the pair for $60.

One caveat: they’ve got some old sealant on them. I cleaned out quite a bit, but there’s still some that needs to be removed before use.

No problems with these that I am aware of.  They came on the old Look I tow around. They say "NewUltimate" on them, which yielded minimal results after light googling, and have a pretty cool internal cable routing.



TT Base Bar, Aero Bars, and Brake Levers:
No problems with these that I am aware of.  They came on an old Cervelo One TT bike that I converted to road drops and levers/shifters for an ex-gf. Base bar is Cervelo. Aero bars are Syntace.
