@ Mattie: saw some guy spinning up col du prospect park @ 160 RPM on a bike that looked like your CAAD9. Chased him down and chatted, indeed it was your bike. Looks like it is getting some good use!

Lake cx165 road shoes, size 45.0. Black/silver/ red.

Bought it from veltec to replace my sidis that I thought were too small, it turns out cleat placement was just wrong.

They have about 20 miles on them, just a bunch of scuffs near the toe area (on base, no leather)

I think I paid somewhere near 40-50$, will accept any reasonable Offer. Pictures:

Alex @ Brickwell reports that they have 2 more CAAD9 frames available - a 56 and a 58.

I just got myself their last 52- they're building it up for me now. Pretty psyched.

i think he told me they're getting about $950 for the frames - but they're $800 with the Kissena discount (a bit more than the 10% he told me over the phone)

@yack - c'mon, the speed is worth it. and if your hands are too shaky from all that stiffness to hold the trophy when you're on the podium, i'll hold it for you. might be the closest i ever come to placing.

Good thing the spooky has that great fork because without it, the hands would really hurt.

FYI guys - if you fish around you can find some sweet deals on Caad9 complete bikes. I got my caad9-1 (Dura Ace) for 2,000 from Roy's Sheepshead Cycles. I sold the wheels for $500 on ebay. So 1500 for frame + dura ace, fsa slk crankset, fsa carbon bars, etc. is a steal in my book. Look around.

yes . . . not trying to pee in the pool, but you can get a brand new caad9 frameset on the 'bay for a lot less than $800

mine was $600 with shipping, and it was an "expensive" size

anything other than 56 can be had for less than that

OK, over it. I still got a sweet ride! SRAM rival (force crank), mavic kysrium elites, Pro3s... total came out to just around 2K in the end .....

fyi: the "ride quality" of my caad9 has been vastly improved by 23mm wide rims and 25mm tires. 25mm tires would probably be just as good. the bike has gone from "rough and ready race machine" to "smooth and ready race machine"

@William: do you race with the 25 mm tires?

i raced the Neversink Gentlemen's Race on them

my setup: neuvation hubs, laced (20, 24) with sapim cx-rays, to velocity a23 rims, prorace3's

they are around 1500grams, with a 426 gram rim

they felt really good, especially in the rain on those descents in the catskills

i plan on making them my go-to Floyd race wheels

William I have been thinking of breaking dow my Neuvation R28 sl's and building the hubs with Veolicty Aerohead23's...did you use the R series hubs or the M series hubs on your build?

the paired drilling makes for a hard time calculating spoke length
