@Vladi, I have very small amounts of wisdom, but after having raced a season and change, I may be able to help if you have any specific questions. What do you currently have?
I have a general idea about track racing, did that about 20 years ago, don't think much is changed. Help with gear is most important now. What wheels are good enough to start? Gearing?

VladiKhlopine let's hop over to the Track Racing thread
Street bike that could be restored to former Panasonic team issue glory.
I've had this bike 28 years, frame fixed once and has had crack in the front lug that was repaired reappeared about ten years ago. Seems unlikely it will break. It's a hot mess of:
58cm (22.75") Raleigh Criterium/Team replica 531 frame, 3TTT stem, Triomphe cranks/front derailleur, record headset, record shifters and rear derailleur. 36 spoke wheels (8 speed). Seat/wheels lock down kit.
Suntour Superbe brakes (think Campy Super Record knock-off/improvement). RockShox seatpost that is seized in there. Raintail under the seat. Shitty bell. I have a Super Record derailleur, extra wheels and other stuff I'd throw in with it. Time magnesium pedals. Dia Compe Brakes. Tires need replacing. You get the idea.
$100 OBO

Anyone interested in restoring it and drag racing Ian, you could get the frame repainted and buy the decals here: http://cyclomondo.net/page22.htm

Here's what it should look like:image
GREAT SCOTT!!! Johnny Wrongway is parting with the Panasonic?!?

Whomsoever picks this up has some big, hairy, duct-tape secured shoes to fill...

How much for the bell?
1984/85 Panasonic Raleigh team colours. A good squad too (Phil Anderson, Robert Millar, Alan Piper).

looking for shimano crank extractor to borrow, will return this weekend. please help
anybody?

What kind of shimano crank?
Vlad I have a square taper crank puller and a 21-spline Shimano threaded BB remover if you need either one of those.
will be in town next week and looking to:

1) swap or sell a size L KCC sleeveless wind vest, used once.  Will sell for $20 or swap for a size S or maybe M.

2) sell a specialized romin expert saddle, white. love this bit of kit and the only reason i am selling it is because i am so vain i bought the same saddle in black because matchy-matchy handlebar tape.  $50.

3) potentially, sell my roval fusee sl wheelset.  these guys (btw this is not my ebay ad):

In decent shape -- some scrapes here and there but they roll well and are solid as.  Light at 1550 grams.  Open to offers.

PM me if interested.
Hello,

Anybody interested in a Van Dessel Gin and Trombones 54cm?  Would make a great pit bike or even racing bike.  Sram Force with a Red rear derailleur. The stuff is definitely used but works well.  Just bought it a month ago on Ebay.  Here is the listing:  BIKE  I paid $1100 as you can probably see, and then added $200 of stuff.  Brand new 46/36 Sram Chainrings, Clement MXP clincher tires and new break pads.  Planning to have it checked out by the shop to make sure it's good to go.

Selling it because I crashed is not a resounding endorsement, but the bike is fine, I just don't think I'm going to get to do anymore cross this year and I will just get something again next year.  If your superstitious, this isn't the bike for you, but otherwise I think it's a sweet bike and a pretty good deal.  I'd like to not eat my shirt on the deal and those are basically cost prices on the parts I bought, so somewhere is the $1300 something range would be nice.  PM me or email-Dale.p.suttle@gmail.com
Howdy Folks:

Crank for sale. Came off the Cannondale EVO Red some of us bought. Replaced with a quarq. If it doesn't go today (2hrs left), I'll take $175 to first offer.

Seriously. I shudder to think what that afterparty was like.
