"Free" Damaged TT frame

• No name Carbon TT frame set with headset, BB, seat post and brake calipers
• Raced it last year without a problem but frame has a crack in seat post binder bolt area
• Needs repair to ride
• I am selling it as a project for someone to tinker with. Paul Carbonara suggested two options:
• 1) inject some resin into the crack, clamp it and see if that stabilizes the area. Not an ideal fix and can’t guarantee structural integrity
• 2)  epoxy the seatpost into the seat tube. There is a very high strength epoxy that would make the post extremely stable… FOREVER. Its the same stuff used to re-glue BB shells, etc.
• So, if you want to setup a TT bike on the CHEAP and are willing to permanently glue your seat post, this may be for you
• If interested I will give it to you for free, but if you want the brake calipers and bottom bracket I would ask for $50

If no one else claims the frame, I wouldn't mind giving it a go (along with the TT stem/bar/shifter set up for sale).

Ohh Yang beats me to it. What size is the frame? Dave as a not so vertically gifted human myself I would be willing to tag team the project with you and use the bike as we see fit/ for any kissenas that may need a TT bike for a stage race. I have a 10 speed group sitting around that could go to a new home, would need TT shifters, not sure if the Sram set up would work, if not we could probably get them for about 20 bucks. anyways, let me know.

It's all yours.  I'm a build junkie so would have just built this thing up and have it collect dust in the basement.  You'd put this thing to good use for sure.  Let me know if you want help building it...

Sounds good Dave. I wish I didn't want help building it, but the fact that I have no skills changes that. If it will fit I'd take it. From the looks of the pics and the fact there is a forward mounting point I may just be able to make it work.

My bad, I forgot to mention frame sizes. Both frames have a 56cm Top Tube. Here are the dimensions of the TT bike. It was made by carbon zone - a chinese factory that almost certainly makes these from older molds. Maybe and old Giant Trinity. Not sure. 

I'm out. No way I'm filling out that frame. 

@David Yang - tubes, wheel set and brake set are yours. 
@SeanMiles - I am 5-9 and the frame fit fine with standard stem. Let me know what you think about the frame and whether you want the bars to go with it.

@JamesShaw just a word of warning @vlad's idea of "lightly used" means only one or two fields of TTer souls were ground to a fine powder under his wheels. There may be slight staining from the tears of his enemies and fraying at the seams caused by the high heat of Mach 2 TT efforts.

@vlad I assume this isn't the much maligned skin suit with the rip in the hem?

I have a new in bag, large skin suit. Not sure what the cost was. It's not the fancy one, but no Vlad ball sweat either. Also have a catlike TT helmet and even a trainer if you want to get your whole TT package knocked out.

FS: Bont Vaypor Size 42 white shoes Brand new shoes. Won these as a prize in a race, and tried to make them work. Mounted cleats, but they were too wide and too short for my weird hobbit feet.  With your normal human feet, I am sure these will work for you. They are great shoes, super lightweight 480 Grams for the pair. So light in fact you will think your feet are just taped to the pedals, yet so stiff because of the carbon soles your feet will not flex unless you have hulk toes. These shoes are also so well vented your toes will be able to determine whether you're riding into a headwind or crosswind.  Other features: One velcro strap on the front, and the racheting buckle to really hold your feet in perfectly. Get your junk cleaner than a dental tool. It's freaking glorious. We're moving and I won't need it for a while.  Fits 32 tooth cogs just fine.

Imma gonna keep the stuff inside.

Nutribullet 900 - lightly used, very clean. Great for mashing things into an easy to digest form post ride. $100 new, I'll take $60 ono.

Some winter/spare wheels - I've never used them. They came with the bike I bought on Craig's List. Currently round. Front is 36 Sapim spokes, Miche hub, Ambrosio rim.  Rear is 32 Sapim spokes, Shimano hub on an unbranded hub. Total weight is 5.7lbs (heavy I know). It' always good to have spare wheels. I'll also throw in some 23c Michelin Dynamic classic tyres. $50 ono. 

Selle Italia Signo Gel Saddle. Chromo rails, dark blue (leather cover). $30 ono.

Finally - Thomson Elite Seatpost 27.2mm silver with set back. $100 new. I'll take $50, it's got some signs of use but I've never used it. 

I'll sell it all for $160 in one go.
