Welcome James! Been fun riding with you the past few weekends!
welcome James.
Welcome @James Neu! Great riding with you last weekend.
James!
Welcome to the club.
Hey fellas, I'm way behind the curve here as I've been a member a fortnight now and haven't taken a moment to log in! Forgive me!

I'm a NYC native living in brooklyn and virginia (I can explain, but it takes time; ask me on a recovery ride when we have like an hour).  In fact I am a Kissena Legacy as my father was a member for years and was a self-styled  park-race sprinter like yours truly. I'm returning from  the "racing hiatus" commonly known as parenthood and I so intend to be racing quite heavily this year, and with that to work like a dog in support of my new teammates!

I myself will primarily be focusing on track this year so please reach out if interested in joining me on that endeavor - it'll be fun I promise and I have an extra track bike!. If you look below here I am NOT winning the 2013 mengoni GP (I think I got second; I sprinted to the wrong part of the cross walk!). My style sense has improved somewhat since then I assure you... Looking forward to a great season!
^ Awesome! Welcome Sean and James.
Welcome @Sean Hourigan! @AndrewJohnson and I are track racers as well. If you go to the Kissena Velodrome you’ll most likely bump into us.
@Sean Hourigan I'm signed up for the entire Men Cat 4 Wednesday Night Twilight Series at the Kissena Velodrome. I might miss two for my upcoming vacation, and of course bad weather. I'm also planning a few T-Town excursions later in the summer and maybe some of the Kissena Vie 13 Weekend Series, which is new this year. Of course I want to keep racing Prospect Park mainly the Cat 3/4 L&C series, and some of the Castelli Master 1/2/3/4 races. Hope to see you out there on the track or at Prospect.
Hi All, I'm James Reeder, a new member based in Brooklyn, and looking forward to seeing you in Prospect Park weekday mornings, and at the Bear Mountain Classic tomorrow!
Welcome @James Reeder
Welcome aboard @James Reeder
welcome, James! good to meet you this morning!
Gosh! I used to be married to a woman whose last name was Reeder. Anyway welcome aboard James.
Hey guys,

I’m Diego, a new joiner to the club and to NY. New to racing also, had my first race last week and ended up in a fantastic last place :) but at least I didn’t get dropped till the sprint in Prospect hill.

Will have fun riding with you guys, hope to meet more of you soon.

Here, enjoy a photo of skinny me suffering up a climb.

welcome to Kissena @DiegoSanchez!
Welcome!!
Welcome @DiegoSanchez
Welcome @DiegoSanchez ! Fellow Cat 5 here.

Hi all,

My name is Rich.  Yes, I will also answer to Dick or Dicky
;)   I had a great time meeting and riding with a bunch of you during the new member rides at Prospect Park and to Piermont.  I'm originally from Long Island and live in Carroll Gardens.

I'm pretty new to road cycling (in my second season).  I started off just to get in shape and clear my head, but quickly realized that I'm drawn to the competitive and community aspects of riding.  I usually ride in Prospect Park before work in the morning, and would love to get involved in some of the training laps that always fly past me.

I've never raced, and not the strongest rider, but looking forward to learning, training and hopefully building up the nerve to get dropped on my first Cat 5 race.

Can't wait to meet some more folks out on the road!

Welcome to the club Rich!!
Welcome Rich
Welcome Rich!
Welcome Rich. Never fun getting dropped...more group rides and this group of individuals will make sure you are ready to have fun and ride safely!
Hey everyone,

Just joined recently. Though I did cross country + some triathlon a long time ago, I got back into cycling in the last October, and did the GFNY + a couple Prospect Park races this season and loved it. Looking forward to getting fast + racing with a team for this coming season, plus just generally riding and hanging out with everyone.

Tommy
Welcome to KCC Tommy!!!
Welcome!
welcome @TommyYork!
Good to meet you (again) last week @TommyYork
Hey all,

Just joined the club this week. I first learned about the club through Redbeard, which is where I bought my current bike, and have been on a few of the shop rides in PP and up 9W.

I've been riding bikes all my life, starting as a BMX rat in my early years, but bought my first road bike in 2011 to commute to my classes in college. Since then, I fell in love with longer distance riding, and in the past two years have wanted to take things a bit more seriously with structured training and road racing. I also started doing some mountain biking out east on Long Island and it looks like there are a couple MTBers here too.

Looks like I'll have a solid group here for support and motivation. Thanks for having me!
Welcome Dan and Tommy!
