Anyone interested in meeting at GWB 7:30am for an alpine ride?

Something that I just saw on FB:
I would like to give a heads up to all the 9W riders.... Last week I observe this crash just after the alpine climb exit heading southbound on 9W just prior to Closter dock Road. 

I was curious to how this could happen on such a clear open road and on my way home today I noticed there's a tremendous dip on the shoulder we ride to the right side. If you go into this dip you will not come out. Because it's too deep and to short for the front wheel to ride through

It's very hard to see as it's almost like a sinkhole if you will. Please be aware as it's on the fast part of the stretch

I think I saw this when I was riding down 9W on Saturday.  It seemed like someone had tipped over an orange cone or barrel into the sinkhole to make it easier to identify.  I don't know if it's still there.

Yes, a cyclist carried a cone 2 miles to mark the hole

Friday, I've got the day off, so I am thinking 6:30AM BB start and doing RR, and turning around at the 9W cafe, and if not too late catching JP's Friday CP laps. Back in Brooklyn around 1pm.

Wednesday morning, I'm expecting to roll out of Harlem around 8:30am to go to points unknown.  3-4 hours of points unknown.

Contemplating a Tuesday morning ride. River Road to Piermont and back. Sub 200 watt pace. Takers?

Tried to get out to Tarrytown via the County Trailway.  But it turned out to be icy.  Ended up getting lost in Westchester.

Yeah can't get on the road earlier than 12:30 unfortunately. Lmk if things change.

Beware the falling cars on River Road: 

Greg Donovan and I made sure alpine was still there this morning. Nice weather. 

We spotted a bald eagle perched on a branch surveying the hudson. It flew off majestically before i could snap a picture (i swear). Large flying creatures they are....

I've been so lucky as to see small rocks in the act of falling and bouncing off the road as I pedaled on the drive.  

I took off tomorrow, Tuesday the 30th. anyone else have the time / day off and interested in doing a longish ride?

I am going to ride tomorrow up 9W and River Rd. Maybe do those McMansion hills...if I can find them. Anyone around and also unemployed and want to get jacked with me?
