Maybe me. I actually have a hard workout I'm supposed to do, but always enjoy an outdoor ride this time of year. I'll post later.
Good news.  Hudson Terrace is being repaved.  It's done up to Strictly Bicycles and they should be done to the Department of Public Works Yard by the end of today.  I'm thinking it will be completed by the weekend.
I'm open beginning of this week to ride- mon, tues, wends. times and distance negotiable. could do anyting from hill repeats to a  a 50-60 mile ride from the GW bridge.
been a while since I've been here.

Planning on riding to the orchard tomorrow.  Leaving my place in Harlem by 9am.  Not noodling, not killing it.  somehwere in the twain.  Very little in the way of stopping.

Ooooh, tempted. But am scheduled to work. 'Course since, I'm per diem, I can cancel with no penalty. Except the part where I don't get paid. And seeing as how I ordered up one of them fancy power meters, don't think Sarah as understanding as she is, would look kindly upon me skipping work so I can go for a bike ride. #beingagrownupsucks

Maybe I'll go buy a lottery ticket or something.
Anyone up for an easy spin tomorrow?
Going out tomorrow morning (12/17/14).  Hopefully by 9am from my place in Harlem.  Looking to return around noon.  Can go anywhere.  Route and effort are not important.  Getting out is.

Anyone interested in a ride?
Wump I might have a certain national CX champ with me but a little later departure. Is River Road still closed?

1. What time are we discussing?

2. Yes.

3. If you want to see some of Westchester, we can also go that way.
Sorry Wump, ended up doing any easy hour in the park :/
Presume I should post here...

Tomorrow I'll be heading to Cunningham Park, will be around 10am and will ride for about 2 hours. On the cross bike.

If interested in joining, please text: 347.225.1058.
Looking to get out on Friday, 12/26, for a slow grind, probably to the Market and turn around.  Looks like light wind, 40s, so a nice (winter) day to be out.  I'm planning on getting to the BB at 10, GWB 11.  I'm flexible on time, though, so if anyone's interested, let me know if an earlier time works better.
Hey Bruce was thinking the same- bb @ 10, boom
hey guys, I am going to join you at 11@GWB
Hi All-

I'm going to double post this here and on the weekend rides thread. I'm planning to ride 4 hrs New Years Day (Thurs) and again on Friday. Crappy weather Sat and Sun (snow and rain is in the forecast) will dictate shorter 2hr or so rides for the weekend. Aiming for 10AM GWB Thurs and Fri. Come one, come all...
Anyone out tomorrow for a virtual weekend ride? Thinking of a really easy ride up to Piermont and back.
I am down for some of that David. Time? Who else?

I'm down too David !!!

Usual weekend rules? 8am BB/9am GWB.
Splendid! See you at the GW @ 9.
So no one's at work right now except me?
If it's any consolation Phillip I bent my derailleur hanger and had to bail at the GW. I was very tempted to try repairing it with a rock.
Nice ride with Patrick up to Piermont. The skies went from sunny to grey to sunny again, but it was relatively warm and turned out to be great riding weather. Johnny M. Had to turn around before even starting due to mech issues and Craig L. Stopped by to say hello before heading out on a solo ride. On our way back on 9W we got caught by Ragot, Ryan, and Jeff A. and headed back to Brooklyn together. Nice catching up with them.

It was a good benchmark on my out of shape-ness. Now I know how much work I need to put in to become competitive again. 3 months before the first Branchbrook races...

^ Thanks to Dr Yang for the latex glove.

Seems like the newer group sets and bikes are engineered to tolerate just the function they perform. I get home and straighten the hanger with an adjustable wrench, but the derailleur is bent as well :^(
All caused by getting tangled up in the front door this morning. Protect your hanger!

 Protect your hanger!

Is that a metaphor?

Regardless, always have a spare at home.
Haha, I always carry nitrile gloves with my flat kit to avoid greasy fingers.

Euphemism, I think.

Hey gang. New year, new training plan for Old-man Bertucco. Under strict orders to ride outside on Thursdays.

The plan is 2 hours or less, with some climbing, nothing fierce, just riding outside. And it so happens, from my house, my double-less-secret-now-that-more-than-a-few-of-you-have-ridden-it-with-me route "over the river (GWB) and through the Alpine, past rich grandmothers' houses we go) (sing it!) is perfect.

I'm somewhat flexible on departure time, but really if I leave it past 8am, I'm in trouble with the rest of my day. 7 seems too optimistic, so I'm going to call a 7:30am grand depart the official goal.

Manhattan peeps especially, please join if you can/want to!
