@ dstearns: three nights out of a season is no big deal. Enjoy what rest you can get out of it.
Goin out right now. extremely slow pace, the word 'recovery' is a superlative.
Is there a group ride on Memorial Day Monday, Prospect Park or otherwise? I'm new to the club.
Heading out for a handful of sprints at around 6:30.
I'm gonna spin around in small ring maybe 40-60 minutes. GAP @ 7:15.
Would love to...
Working from home today. Thinking of getting a lunchtime spin in. Any takers?
4:15 openers
I will be there in PP for only 4 laps, very easy spin for me.
Go Thierry! Trying to head out at 6:30 for openers.
Hey David!!

Get out early. Torrential rainstorm approaching. You can smell it.
missed ya Joe....life intervened, then a monsoon. c'est la vie.
goin out now for some easy laps.
Heading out for some easy laps around 5:30 if there's no rain.
Planning to be out today from about 3 to 5 if anyone would like to join.
Hitting the park for about 2 hours of riding this afternoon around 4.
I'll be in the park round 4 as well Adam.
@alyoshas I'll keep an eye out for you. I should be at GAP right about 4 or so.
@adam I think you have to call him Dr. Alyoshas now. ;)
that does sound nice!
just got back, good 13 laps around PP. feeling a little manic from weekend alcohol withdrawal as well! I found a hurt Adam from his wkend escapades in addition to Mitch who explained a lil' of the politics of prospect park and the new lanes.
It was nice to have met you Adam, too bad I had flat during our conversation today.
@Dr. Alyosha Yeah, I wasn't feeling very great today. I set out for more of a recovery ride and ended riding closer to tempo with Mitch while we dodged the skateboarders on the hill.

@Thierry It was great meeting you too. Good to see you back in the saddle, and I'm looking forward to riding with you again soon.
@neil ross and i did some laps last friday night, and a long stretch from just below the top of the hill, past GAP and nearly to 3rd street was completely w/o street lights.  it was really dark....we had to crawl through to avoid pedestrians wandering in the roadway darkness......

anybody been out for evenings recently?  are the lights back on?  was planning to do some TTs tonight, but w/o street lights for that stretch it'd require a good 1/2 mile of slow pedaling to get through safely.
The lights seem to be on different timers in different parts of the park.  If you wait long enough, the lights go on everywhere.  I remember this from last year as well, when I ended up riding with a light on my bike to cope.
This felt more like a blackout - we rode for over an hour, and it was pretty late (around 11 pm) and they never came on.  Anyway - yes - front light helps to dodge the zombies and phantoms.
I'm headed out now (4pm) for an hour or so.  Hard work ahead.
Goin riding tonight. tempo and endurance. 6:45pm.
Heading out 6ish tonite for spin at prospect.
