i do believe that "dangerously fast" describes nearly any forward momentum at all when under the power of an inexperienced bike handler. any speed i had i owed to the One-Man-Leadout-Wonder-From-Down-Under
There is going to be a rather large running race in Prospect Park this Sunday. Most of the activity will be at the Windsor Terrace end of Center Drive from 9:30 am till about noon. We are going to be setting up fencing to try to keep people from wandering into the bike lane, but we can only do so much.
@Mike thanks! that was the "final nail" in my Pre-camp work. 10x(5 super thresh then 2 under threshold then 1 rest) but I cried "Uncle!" After seven.
I'm still not out of my post flu fitness "hole" so it's hard to gauge my fitness. I did a very hard Tuesday/wed/Thursday ahead of this so I'm pretty happy I was able to do this much. I'm definitely looking forward to coming home at a new level.
As Ragot was saying though; it's not lack of form that's holding back my results it is brains. Too bad I can't train those!
- this is a bit random of a time but I happen to have tomorrow off. I'm going to ride in prospect for 2.5-3 hours in the AM. weather looks surprisingly decent. shooting for 8:30 AM. If you want to meet up, reply here and we can coordinate. I'll be doing mostly endurance with a few blocks of tempo. my legs are still pretty trashed from Sunday.
if my bike wasn't hanging on a rack with no derailleur/brake cables, i might join you...should be all fixed come Thursday (not going to install cables until i get some barrel adjusters). for now, i'm riding my gf's comically small bicycle on the rollers. see you after the repairs/once the weather is a tad warmer.
Anyone riding today Ill be at GAP, around 5pm. Been tough for me to keep up with training but will be trying to do some faster laps while avoiding a blow up
