Dangerously fast Brendan!
i do believe that "dangerously fast" describes nearly any forward momentum at all when under the power of an inexperienced bike handler.  any speed i had i owed to the One-Man-Leadout-Wonder-From-Down-Under :)

FYI:

Hey

There is going to be a rather large running race in Prospect Park this
Sunday. Most of the activity will be at the Windsor Terrace end of Center
Drive from 9:30 am till about noon. We are going to be setting up fencing
to try to keep people from wandering into the bike lane, but we can only do
so much.

Hey,

Anyone hitting up Prospect this afternoon, say 5-ish? Would enjoy meeting some other members.

-Newbie reaching out
I should be there around 6PM, doing some fast stuff though.
It is toasty out.  This old man says "git yer fast on"

No prob. if you see this, ill be in a red jacket on a white/red bike...
Lucky. On my way home.

@ Jules - solid ride. Was that 2 hours of tempo?

I did 2x20 threshold. First time i successfully completed that workout this season. Didn't even feel that hard. Things are looking up!
@Mike thanks! that was the "final nail" in my Pre-camp work. 10x(5 super thresh then 2 under threshold then 1 rest) but I cried "Uncle!" After seven.

I'm still not out of my post flu fitness "hole" so it's hard to gauge my fitness. I did a very hard Tuesday/wed/Thursday ahead of this so I'm pretty happy I was able to do this much. I'm definitely looking forward to coming home at a new level.

As Ragot was saying though; it's not lack of form that's holding back my results it is brains. Too bad I can't train those!
Was doing laps while looking for someone in Kissena gear but no luck. maybe next time!

@ Edwin- I didn't see you either. I was there from around 4:50-6:20

The easiest thing to do is hang out at grand army plaza for a few minutes and you're bound to find a kissena.

@mperlberg yea, i was there during the same time frame but I'll keep that in mind next time, thanks.

hey folks

- this is a bit random of a time but I happen to have tomorrow off. I'm going to ride in prospect for 2.5-3 hours in the AM. weather looks surprisingly decent. shooting for 8:30 AM. If you want to meet up, reply here and we can coordinate. I'll be doing mostly endurance with a few blocks of tempo. my legs are still pretty trashed from Sunday.

Hey I can join... I'm pretty sure Konrad is off as well.

Pretty sure I'm off. I'm into this.
Ok I will aim for 8:30 grand army plaza.

running a little late - you guys should start and I'll find you
if my bike wasn't hanging on a rack with no derailleur/brake cables, i might join you...should be all fixed come Thursday (not going to install cables until i get some barrel adjusters).  for now, i'm riding my gf's comically small bicycle on the rollers. see you after the repairs/once the weather is a tad warmer.

4:30 PM prospect park social ride. grand army plaza.

if you want to come later, just wait @ GAP and we'll pick you up.

I'll be at GAP around 5-ish @mperlberg. hope to see you then
i will be there ~4 doing some faster-than-social laps then staying for the social laps.  installed new cables and housing.  i wonder if my bike works?
Riding laps in PP park at 5:30 p.m.today.  Will be in a red top, on black bike.  See you out there.

Will be in prospect on wed evenings riding tempo starting next week.
Anyone riding today Ill be at GAP, around 5pm. Been tough for me to keep up with training but will be trying to do some faster laps while avoiding a blow up
Perlberg and I will be in the park doing openers starting around 430 as well
In lieu of regular Tuesday Tempo, I'll be in the park tonight from about 6:45, 7pm for some LT intervals.
Mark I can meet you at GAP at 6:45
See you there!
