Branchbrook NJ Spring Series

I'm up for branch brook on the 2nd and / or 9th

Wish there was a way for me to race twice, but these races tend to be really hard so I'm sure once will suffice. (Imagine prospect park without a downhill, but more wind and more aggressive racers).

I'll be travelling the 2nd but I'm up for as many of the rest as possible.  Usually have room for one or two more, depending on pickup spots.

Can you save me a seat in your car on the 2nd?

Sure but the car will remain parked at the airport...
I'm ready to rock these races for sure ...
I'll be there on the 2nd and should have room in my car for two Brooklynites.
I would love to sign up for the Cat 5 March 2 race at 8:07 AM if someone can offer me a spot in their car from Brooklyn.  I live at 205 State St., Brooklyn, NY 11201 -- conveniently positioned between a BQE onramp and the Brooklyn Bridge!
Al Barouh was pitching Branchbrook to me yesterday during my fitting at Ride BK yesterday. I just registered for the March 2nd Cat 4/5 race. I'm a little out of the way for Park Slopers as I live in Greenpoint. But, I'm very close to the BQE Humboldt/McGuiness exit. If someone can accommodate me in their car that would be so terrific and much appreciated.
You guys should know that it is pretty convenient to take the PATH train from WTC to Newark and ride over to Branchbrook (10 min). There is a schedule and bikes are allowed. You can also take NJ Transit, but it is more of a hassle.
Just signed up for March 2nd for the 8:07am cat 4/5. Probably driving from Astoria - will figure it out a bit closer to the race.

If I drive - Phillip Maronilla - want a ride ? Rick Perner - want to meet me on the Queens side of the Pulaski bridge ? 21st and Jackson Ave. When I drive to Branchbrook I normally go through the Midtown tunnel.

But - I totally agree with Stokes - a nice early morning warm up ride from Queens or BK over to the WTC PATH station, followed by a short train ride and a 10 min bike ride over to the park is a fine way to go as well.

@JoshuaC
I could definitely meet you on the other side of the Pulaski if you drive. Thanks for the offer.

I can see myself taking the Path etc to future Branchbrook races. But as this will be my first race ever I'd prefer the companionship of someone who knew how to get there, the routine etc.

@JoshuaC -  Thanks for the offer.  I'm in if you drive.  I'm on 31st. Ave and 37th St., or I can meet you somewhere else.
the move back in start time means i dont think ill be able to race the 3/4 because of work. boo. i really like branchbrook, i may have to pull strings to at least make the cherry blossom race.

hey duders,

I have permission to drive the bo-mobile to Branchbrook for the race this Saturday.

anyone need a ride? I can fit 2 others, packed like sardines with both wheels off into the car.

I'd rather not get there for the 7AM races... also I might stay for a bit after my race to get some food with a friend who lives by the park (you are more than welcome to join).

Mike

I too am going to Branchbrook to race Masters and 1-2-3 races.

I am going to leave at 6:45 from Park Slope.

I have room for 2 people comfortably.

I will go through the Holland Tunnel. So can pick up along the way on Canal St.

Let me know

Eric

@eragot. I would like one of those spots plz. I think ryan might too but he will have to speak up.
@josephmueller. Done.
@eragot, I thought I already claimed one of those spots....
Anyone know the best route to the park from strong island?  Much obliged hoss....
@Vlad. I can't remember. Grab mike spot.
wanted: kit and ride

i'm in the 4/5 field @ 8:07.  @mperlberg, is there room in your vehicle for me?  seems like @eragot has a full car.

i will need to borrow a size small jersey from someone in order to race in kit (no kit order since i joined...nothing i own says Kissena!).  anyone got one I could borrow for the race?  i can wash and return it.  if some cat 5 madness happens and it gets shredded, i'll compensate you.

If anyone has room in their car, I am interested. Please let me know.
@alyoshas can't you just ride your wave of fame and publicity all the way to the park, mr. bicycling magazine photoshoot celebrity?
I'm also looking for a ride out there. Please let me know if anyone has room in their car.

I'll probably take the Path there on Saturday, looks fairly easy except that I'll need to transfer. There is construction at WTC station it seems over the weekend so will have to take the yellow line from 33rd street and transfer at journal square.
Folks- I have two spots. Picking up Stokes at 6:30am on 6th and Canal.  If you need a ride holler.
