Please tell me Tyler wasn't the kid on the yellow S-Works. He was a fucking menace.

Nah, I'm pretty sure he was a Colavita junior. Nothstein the jr was probably in an Alliance kit.

On the plus side, I set new power marks during my race 1 chase. 414w for 5m, 360w for 10.
SHIT MATTIE
them me big fat ass numbers

I can't place for crap this year yet haha. Can we just race on computrainers?
Mattie. Start racing on some crappy looking bike and stop looking so cool. Seriously. Folks will let you go. You look too much like you know what you are doing.

I broke my cervelo, I'm on my ti bike now. Nobody likes ti! Maybe it's the 90mm wheels. Yes, perhaps.
Here you go Roazen, soak it up:

Nice gap. Supposed to pay for these. Was it Jens who said the only attacks that stick are all-out for a km and then just trying to hang on for dear life? I would say that's how our break got a gap, not enough gap to get out of sight, but getting there.
Nice find John!

This one is my favorite; Joe has magic powers shooting off his helmet!

Mattio those are humongous numbers.
Yes,Tyler Nothstien is Marty's son, he is on Alliance. We used to duke it out with him in the 4 field on Saturdays at T-town.
90 mm wheels!?
Are those legal/can i borrow the front for opening weekend?
Anyone doing it? How does one get there from BK? Over the GW?
I'll likely be there. Easiest way is Holland Tunnel. I will likely be in NJ and drive from there, but if I'm still in BK that morning I can drive you and 2 others - will let you know if my plans change.
If a ride is going id love it. More or less makes or breaks it for me I think. Not sure the commute on the bike will do much good pre race from bk.

PATH train. WTC over to newark. One could theoretically do it by bike, but it wouldn't be fun.

I'll be in the 4/5, going for the W.
Im interested to do it, would also be in the 4/5s, good to know there is interest

I like the course, did the spring series last year and cherry blossom this year. Missed the start of the 4/5 because I was taking a wizz, and got boxed out of the sprint in the 3/4 so I have a belly full of anger and vengeance in mind. I'm pretty sure Konrad is in too, maybe Andy too.
I will be doing the Cat 3 race. There is a doodle poll over on the "crit weekend" thread you can check out and state your racing intentions.
I'm in Cat 4 and maybe a Masters..

I just upgraded to 4 so I'm willing to ride for someone with a shot of a win.

Looking over the start list, doesn't look too stacked except for one guy, Anthony Fatuzzo. Super strong guy, got 2nd overall in the Gran Fondo NY. Got denied his 3 upgrade for some reason. He can diesel allll day long, super high threshold, but I can usually out kick him in a sprint. I'm going to talk to him before the race and try and get in a move that stays away knowing he'll drag me around. I wouldn't mug him if we stayed away. If it comes to a sprint, I'll ride his wheel up and hopefully out.
Bump, reg closes Thursday night. Andy, my leadout guy / best track buddy for life signed up so we can crush some souls. If you think you have the juice, let us now if you want to help the train. Otherwise look to move in breaks and keep the pace high going into the bell lap.
Soul crushing is good, but not Best...

The 4/5 race is filling up. Get at it.
I just registered so im in on the 4/5s.

It will be my first race rubbing shoulders with 4s.

Im not expecting much as my fitness is waaaaay off at the moment but I have power in a sprint, just getting to the end might be the hard bit. I am however willing to set anyone up if ive still got any gas left or if anyone wants a run in to the line.
I'm in to work for whoever has the best legs. I've done this course a few times now.
Am confirmed for the 3 race. Happy to offer ride as am driving there.

Leaving Bkyn 830 ish.
4/5 is full. We've got 10 people, the most of any team in the field. Andy and Konrad are my dedicated leadout bros. One more and we can probably yank it from the backside 90* to the finish depending on the wind. I'm going to sit in for the most part unless I see Anthony Fatuzzo jump away, I'm not letting him go. Otherwise, you guys should move for breaks/cover breaks, and start pounding away with 1-2 to go. The circuit is probably too long to try and string it out with 2 to go without burning our dudes off. Since we have the biggest team, others will look for us to shut things down, unless we have someone in the move. So we should ALWAYS have someone in the move.
Liberty has 8 guys in the race. Not sure how strong they've been this year as only a couple of them show up for city races but makes sense that any break that goes would have a better chance with one of them aboard. Unless of course they ride like Siggis and tend to chase down their own.
Liberty is strong early but will fade over time - they have one guy that put in a good show at Colt's neck. My biggest problem with Liberty Cycles is that their kit makes "Who Shot Liberty Valance" start playing in my head:

I'll work early to cover breaks, you can actually get a break to stick on this course and it usually happens on lap 3 just after the finish line...

I beat like 12 of their dudes solo at Rahway in their home race. Hopefully they forgot what I look like.
