He's relatively easy to pick out in these races because no one else wears a the distinctive blue POC helmet. Of course, with all the big guns, I expect within a few laps all we'll be seeing is VDP and WVA chasing each other around.

Quickstep rode a great race. Not really any obvious mistakes, a dream break: 3 riders including their leader, and just one other rider. They assumed, as did everyone, that it was Boonen race to loose. And yup, obvs, Stannard would battle him.
One could argue that Boonen's attack with 4km to go, was too hard too far, and in hindsight you'd be right. But Boonen has won other races (including Flanders) in exactly that way. A less risky strategy would have been to wait for Stannard to attack and then counter.
Ultimately it comes down to pedaling. Boonen didn't have it, and Terpstra had been working hard. Stannard waited, risked hardcore sprinting against Terptra, and it paid off big time.

While Quickstep was messing up at Omloop, Sarah Storey attempted to break the Women hour record.
She didn't do it. And while I wouldn't recommend watching the whole thing, the last minute and specially the minutes AFTER the ride are absolutely crazy admirable :
