Be sure to go full POC orange with your matching Harry's razor

This got me thinking about the Icedot emergency info stickers. Does anyone have an opinion on them. I'd like to be convinced they provide a value but wouldn't it make more sense to just write your emergency contact info on your helmet? Perhaps if you have complex medical issues that EMTs would need to know about? Have any of the medical professionals out there heard anything? Where's Owens when you need him?
Do it with your smartphone

Road ID has a free app that does pretty much the same thing. Trouble is really how expensive GPS is for your phone (or any other device)

This topic reminds me of a conversation I had with my brother-in-law who is a Track/XC coach at Cornell about recruiting out of High School.

He said that his job or recruiting is actually harder because more HS athletes are getting higher quality coaching and so when he sees their times, and that they are already so good, that he isn't sure if that athlete is essentially maxed out with limited upside. Also burnout.
makes sense...but aren't their other physiological markers that can predict upside?  Vo2 max etc
I often wonder when I see some guy who is 300 lbs...you never know that gut could have off the charts untapped physical talents...he just decided to tap endless containers of ice cream and cookies instead

Even if he had the money/time to do such testing, it probably wouldn't be worth it. Based on experience, he still has a pretty good idea of who could be good. Soccer players, for example, who just started track their junior and senior years with respectable times, but nothing record-breaking. And of course there is the mental aspect...a big part of his coaching life has nothing to do with training plans and 5k times, you know?
Freaky thin

I have heard anecdotes about heavy cyclists losing weight and flying cause their w/kg goes through the roof.
More like "freaky no gloves!"
Caleb E's sprinting technique

Wow. I never noticed they took this picture driveside down.

Europeans use duvets. Much easier to strip and launder the bottom sheet. Duvets covers are a pain in the ass to get back on. And yes I know the inside out tricks. Still a pain in the ass. Especially a king size one.
