Thanks for the well wishes, all! @Bruce - that's a really nice offer, but considering I'll probably be MIA after the kid arrives and demands to be fed and sheltered, it might be strategically better if we try to upgrade someone who will have more time to contribute once they get to the 3s...

There's a group in NYC trying to set up group rides for kids. They're called Kidical Mass. Mostly they're in Brooklyn right now, but they're trying to set up a ride in every borough this year. I'm helping them set something up for Harlem probably on April 25 which will start and finish in Morningside Park.

You need to get them on a fixed wheel trike early in order to develop souplesse. Probably.

Steal as many of those pink and blue hospital blankets as you can. They are the perfect size and stretchiness for swaddling (i.e. wrapping up baby like a burrito).

It's just about that time. Peter is going to be ready for a pedal bike soon. We're thinking for his 3rd birthday in July. What size/features should I look for?
