Big Wheels, Crayons & Bike Racing — Parents
Man, so this is what goes on in the Family Man thread. I came here thinking it would reinforce the idea that I could still race bikes if Maria gets pregnant but it turns out you guys just talk about bouncy castles.
One of the organizations supporting NYC's bike lanes is looking for folks (families in particular), to show up and ride the Prospect Park West bike lanes this Sunday starting circa 11:00AM. Apparently the case against the lanes is being re-heard in court and the idea is to come out as a group on Sunday to support the continued existence of the lanes. For further information, see..WERIDETHELANES.ORG

P.S.-In the interest of balance, here's one of the bike lane's opponents presenting a compelling case against the lanes. (Warning: Harsh language.)

I love that video...I didn't know all Santa did in his off-season was swear about bike lanes in Brooklyn...nothing like shattering youthful dreams.neilx said:P.S.-In the interest of balance, here's one of the bike lane's opponents presenting a compelling case against the lanes. i have loads of the things taking up space in my apartment. wife is selling a bunch but we have a load that we are just going to give away. someone better versed than i in barbie history would be able to comment on whether they are special or not, but they are all from the mid 90s and in original packing.
get them quick. with them hanging about the place, my house looks like a creepy murder's.
p.s. to be clear, they are not my barbies. they are my wife's, from when she was a kid.
A likely story...Mark Clifford said:

The best part of my weekend of racing in PA? After the early afternoon Iron Hill qualifier, I rolled over to the tree where my wife, boy and dog were sitting. Peter sees me, gets a huge smile on his face, crawls right over to me, climbs up to me and gives me the sweetest hug and kiss.

Next up for family Bertucco is a fun weekend of track racing next Saturday (fingers crossed rain stays away), then Sunday to Highmount NY where the MTB race takes place on top of a ski mountain...accessible for racers and spectators by ski Gondola! Apparently the views are spectacular. The gondola ride might be worth the trip alone!
