is it just me and Phil repping KCC in the Cat4s? Who wants a leadout? My large ass provides an excellent draft.
I'm out - traveling this weekend with my wife.

What tires are you going to be running smart guy?
Yacks, you look like you got a frame you can't flex, I am just wondering whether in this case Red really is the fastest color.

Yacks, save yourself sealant and a 430am wake up call, just mail Charlie $40 and call it a morning.
You don't wanna light the fuse Yanger

Payback for last year when you ambushed me with sealant to my face!

Seriously?
Anybody doing the 123 race?
A me
Looks like it's Eloy, Phil and I for the Cat 4s. I guess it is a day for setting up post KOM breaks. I think we should probably reach out to some of the leaders teams and let them know we're not threats for jerseys and that one of the three of us are going to counter on those laps.
sounds good.

Also, important, I will try to be there early 5:10ish to help with registrations. These are Kissena sponsored races. Please come out, volunteer and help too.

--- and then win, obvs.
I'll be there at reg. and snagging a comped race.
I miss the IV's...and tires without giant gaping holes in them...sigh

If I weren't doing the NYS Track Championships, I'd be champing at the bit for this race.  Should be a smackdown.  Foundation, with nine guys registered has to find a way to crack Mengoni's Sanchez, whom I'm guessing will have three or four teammates.
@mugwump

Mengoni's Sanchez, whom I'm guessing will have three or four "teammates".

fixed that for you.

They may not actively attack him, but saying they're going to be racing with team tactics may be a stretch for Mengoni.

Last L&C Polanco rode for Sanchez.  I can see Eugene doing so as well.  Unless Foundation brings out more riders, that might be enough.
I'll be there for the 4's race
Brian,

I'll be helping out with reg before the race, with Eloy and Phil. I'm looking forward to meeting you and lets maybe discuss some racing strategy before we roll out tomorrow morning.

Dan
My iPhone Icrapped the bed...no alarm missed start...but I got Dan his wheels and caught the triangle ride for a hot 60 miles

Cat 4 race report:

Oy, i forget how talkative the Cat 4s are compared to the masters.

Mineola was rolling deep. they had 12 guys and spent much of the race with 2-3 guys in the top 5 controlling pace and keeping things sort of together.

After some break attempts that were quickly shut down, finally two guys got away and put some real distance on the field. Brian, and Eloy attacked trying to get some distance at various times and bridge up to the two up the road but Mineola wasn't letting anything else go.

The sprint laps were some unusual crazy at the Green Jersey would sprint from mid field as all the places were up the road and proceed to have a couple of yahoos get excited to make those laps a little more silly that necessary. After the KOM and Sprint Lap Jeff Chen of BVF took off, I jumped with him and we drilled it going down the hill. OMG I forgot how much trying to make a 2 man break go 26mph hurt and we were eventually reeled in just before the hill and the group slowed significantly (which stung a little, maybe if we could have held it for a little longer we could have settled into a rhythm). Brian immediately countered after that, but that too was shut down shortly.

I was thinking that maybe after the 2nd KOM (with 2 laps to go) would be an excellent time to go. I saw Eloy and Brian going to the front and I considered making my way up, but with the normal shenanigans in field I lost a bunch of places as guys who felt they had a shot at a KOM from the back of the field all moved forward. I ended up losing my desire to make the attack and knowing Brian and Eloy up there I felt there were two strong Kissenas who could attack hard over the top. Since we were going into the bell lap nothing was going to stick, as Mineola and Dave Jordan started ramping up the pace. It all ended in a field sprint. Also apparently at one point one of the two guys off the front drifted back to the field.

I feel like Ive got the legs for CX and I just need to sustain my training through the rest of the season.
