Great plundering fellas! Way to represent.

Yacks, you should totally be "Gone in 60 Seconds" with the Bonts, I am soooo over the sprint world. Switching my focus to climber as per Hushovd (just need to work on the leg function and a few less mid-climb naps).

God's speed today, how about hanging in for some bagel money at the end Yacks? I know you can do it.

Btw, Catskills is absolutely brilliant—highly recommend. Forgot how much fun/pain stage racing is. Today is going to be tough, 3300 feet of vertical, two gnarly climbs, more 15% sections, same distance.
Just realized you guys are already racing. Allez!
Vollbach will win from a long solo move.
Yacks takes first and second in sprints to win the Jersey...
The finish hasn't happened yet, so I don't know the minor placings.
Congratulations to you guys who placed and supported for the series sprint and k.o.m.

Great to get back in Prospect park yesterday.

Now if I can get race fit by the end of the season!
Hard to believe this series has been going on since April. Kissena passed around the KOM and Green jersey like it was a bag of beef jerky! Really incredible teamwork. I can\'t remember a KOM or Green sprint when a Kissena or 3 were not setting the tempo. I also can\'t remember one other team working to support a rider for these competitions. I think this speaks to the nature of this club. There is a great deal of selfless enthusiasm on this team. I find it to be a contagion that travels with abandon. There was a ton of team sacrifice that went into claiming the jerseys as many riders shelled themselves and really harpooned their own chances of winning so a teammate could succeed. Rich gifting me some points yesterday at the line was indicative of this. I can\'t remember everyones names who threw down in support of the Polka Dots and Green, but I would be remiss if I did not give a huge shout out to Dan Rainer, who acted as the Lieutenant on the road the entire series. I tried during one race to help out during both those sprints when John had green and Dave the Polka dots. Doing double duty is ridiculuously hard as it is a suffer fest with no recovery as the green & kom laps seem to always be happening. Yet Dan was a constant presenence driving the tempo at every race, treating his body like it was a rented mule. It\'s difficult to understand how hard it is to ride tempo for all the KOM\'s & Green\'s during a race until you\'ve done it. I have and it sucks! To do it at every race of an 8 race series requires legs. Not just any legs, but magic legs. To quote Forest Gump, \"Lieutenant Dan...you got magic legs!\" Chapeau Lt. Dan....Chapeau

Ohh...and they're TITANIUM!!!!
Way to go guys, epic way to finish the series! Congrats Dave, Joe, Yacks on the final placings.

Second Yacks comments, especially about the props to tireless and selfless Reiners paving the way for results week after week. Huuge thank you. Also, to everyone else in the so-solid crew who risked life and shoulder blade to get these jerseys and placings.

Cheers!
nice work, dudes

that was awesome
excellent racing guys! congratulations!
@Nathaniel --hope you're OK... heal-up soon!
This photo is hilarious, Misha looks like he's marching to his doom, Vollbach just won The Price is Right!

Congrat's on three years in a row Yacks!

I'd appreciate any help I can get at Floyd tonight with that other green jersey. Frias upgraded.
I have to say a huge thanks to everybody that worked hard for these results. Chris and David are wearing the Jerseys, but those were team efforts to make sure they were deposited in the right place at the right time to do their jobs. It was great seeing guys out week after week putting huge efforts for teammates, it really says something when somebody is willing to sacrifice themselves for a greater good. Nothing says that Kissena is a team like seeing that happen. Week after week we pulled out excellent leadouts sometimes 4 per race, often back to back laps. No small feat. I think next year we have to go for 5x leadouts per race, one for each of the KOM and Sprint laps and finally for the last lap. We're good at controlling the race in the middle, and 2km out. Now we have to control the race to the very end, and take some W's.

Huge thanks to all the 4s who contributed to the great L&C cup series this year, and I look forward to continuing the road season through August and September and seeing some more great teamwork out of you guys.
Sooo if I'm not mistaken I thinks I won 100 big ones for second place in the KOM! This means there will be a party for all of the cat 4s who helped out for the series. I'm currently working out the details of where and when and will give everyone a heads up once the plans are final.
Same. Is the Stearns party still in the offing?
Sadly, some work 'ish intervened since I originally tried to pull it off. And I leave town for 2 weeks starting Friday (off to ride some nice hills in western North Carolina/Blue Ridge!)

I'll try to do something soon though - maybe post Labor Day.....

my sum total for the L&C:
- first race, caught behind a crash and dropped
- next race, attacked from 3rd wheel, got away for a grand total of about 45 seconds, flatted before downhill
- flatted AGAIN next race after getting rear wheel nipped by another rider

Oh well.....try again next year!

Are there any more park races this summer/fall? Or is that it?
@David Stearns:

There are a few more races this summer, but in after Labor Day most of the calendar switches to CX.
What time do you need the manpower? I'd love to help, but I'm only free until 4:30 pm.
Friday the 20th? AM or PM?
I can help set up. Let me know when to be there.
Thanks to those who have responded.

It will be an evening event, for those who are asking.

Joe and David S., I'll count on you for sure.

In reality, I doubt we'll need a car. Was just thinking it might be helpful to haul around groceries and beer.
Let me know the times, I can try and help but my working hours are kind of restrictive during the week so its evening only for me if thats of use, I dont have a car either.
I am happy to and should be able to help. I may even be able to get a car; as we get closer to the date, I'll have a more definitive answer.
They better have good beer!

Vollbach!
Help spread the word guys - make sure friends on other teams are promoting this to their clubs.

And especially bring your unattached cycling friends - an event like this is a great chance to increase membership in KCC!

Ill pass it on too.

The L&C cup, do we get a discount in these races? If so do we still go through the regular bikeReg route?
