Thinking about entering the cat 5 & had a question: any point in getting a USAC race license over one-day? I noticed that the license expires 12/31 and I'm not sure if I'll enter enough races before then to make it worthwhile - if there's another reason to go for the license over one-day I'm all ears.

You might want the yearly for cyclocross, but otherwise, not a whole lot of road races left.

Unless you plan to race more than 4 times before the end of the year then yes get the one day for your race this weekend. Also Sebastian, what size jersey are you? I am assuming a Small or XS?

Does somebody have a jersey of that size that he can borrow on Saturday?

Sebastian, you cannot race at Floyd with one day licenses, so if you have any plans to do any of those you will have to get the normal license anyway.

Dan, thanks for bringing that up! I'm usually a small (and would love to race in the appropriate colors Saturday)

Sean, do you know if the Sunday races going to be happening at Floyd this year? I had heard about them & was interested in entering but couldn't find any more info.

Jill - when do Sunday Floyd races start - I can't find anything online about them. 

@SebastianVidal there's still tuesdays at floyd, thursdays at rockleigh and castelli just added a park race so four races in PP but yeah, unless you're thinking to go to a lot of those it may not be worth it...although it is nice to not have to do the extra paper work pre-race

 Vlad and I are heading to NYS TT champs upstate near Binghamton this weekend. My form has been lousy this past month, but I plan on representing old Kissenas who don't know when to hang it up. Wish me luck!

Keep in mind the old Andy Hampsten quote (I'm paraphrasing: '98% of racing is everything going wrong.  If there's air in your tires and feel ok, there's not more you can ask for.'

I'm skipping this race.  i'll be in NJ, and it would necessitate an even earlier wake-up call.  Trying the Jersey Devil race instead.
