Second in the 3-4 though, via trusty 1 min 714. Nosson put in some efforts and "Spring Break" Da Silva was mixing it up—very strong, long break attempts.

Anyways, my thoughts for the 1-2-3 race.
John is our sprinter if he wants to be. He seems to have a knack for being there.

Mike gets in the early break and wins again. The rest of us lead out John who sweeps up the remainder of the break that Mike has shed to claim 2nd.

I think the plan is pretty well-known - be attentive and be in the moves and if a move goes, try to have a Kissena in the group that bridges (if such a thing happens). We need to stay near the front to the extent possible with someone prowling the front front (top 5-10), someone in the top 15-20 ready to cover attacks and to attack. Ideally, we'll keep all our guys in the top 40 to rotate in and out of the positions I mentioned above.

If you are moving up, bring a brother along. If you come off the front, get moving again and get back in near the front.

If you are feeling like sprinting and that's your thing - John, Rene - you have to let us know how you're doing. If we can't get in a break, we'll pull it together for you guys willing to sprint. We have enough guys to at least start on the downhill. Depending on how people feel (and this is only based on the racing and riding I've seen this year):

Mike
Me
Sprinter
Sweeper (Myles)

Everybody else in front and bombing down the hill and going as long as possible. I think Joe Mike and myself could handle things from a bit past the temple.

I'm down with the Ragot plan, although my sprint is the long kind (Max at FBF tonight 1386 in the jump)... prefer to be unleashing the snappier Ragot, but Perlberg and Moser will be away anyhows.

As much as I'd like to ride away with Mr. Moser on my wheel, the 110 rider field indicates a strong possibility of a sprint. let's keep our options open and make sure we aren't tail gunning when it comes to the finish. Anyone who wants to sprint needs to let us know how they are feeling.

For our race, its only a 5 lap effort which will easily play to the hands of the guys with more team numbers in the sprint. While with so few in the race theres not a great deal we can do to control much im hoping that the pace is high from the go. If its not, we should plan a flyer after the hill as everyone begins to settle down, perhaps with 2 to go. Im going to ride aggressive and get in anything creditable that goes with 2 or 3 to go and if that slows ill fire off that if im feeling good. Ros how you feeling?
I have a friend racing tomorrow whos independent that wants to be aggressive and hes very strong so we could play a group move. If that means ros doing your power pulse up the hill with 2 to go to string it out and keep the pace high then try and hold it as long as you can and we drive the rollers after the top.

I'm in the 5s as well and I thought I saw one other - so a total of 4 of us. It's my first race of the year and I have no idea if I'll be there at the end. I'm up for anything early.

@ ashleyB - wasn't in CP last week. This will be my first race as a Kissena. I did attend the CRCA/Kissena race clinic in CP back in March unattached and that's where I met Thierry and Marc and decided to join Kissena.

Heard Dave V. soloed in the last 1.5 laps for the win in the 4s.

In the 123s, Joe got him self into a tie for 1st in the KOM, taking 2nd and 3rd. He was off the front for the first 6 or so laps with a foundation rider Chris.

Race ended in a sprint, we got nothing, I was somewhere up near the top 20 but couldn't find an opening.

another "poster" shot for The Voll's. That was some pretty dominating Kissena action out there today. Riding on this big squad is like watching a cat toy with a three-legged mouse!
Ryan was in the early break and scooped up sprint points? He can win the green if he wants...the "sprint" competition in the fours comes down to strategy more than watts. If we have 2 sprinters, simply send one up the road just before the sprint. If another rider chases, put the 2nd sprinter on his wheel = game over. I think I'm in green for next week. Ryan can either get in the early move and take the jersey or attack just before the sprint. There is that sweet spot where nobody decides to chase. With 10 or so Kissena's on the front soft pedalling, I doubt anyone will bridge. If I'm wearing green, I may be marked so leave me tucked into the field. Seriously we can pass this jersey around like a $2 hooker during fleet week...zing! What happened in the KOM competition? Inquiring minds want to know.

We hold all 3 of the Cat 4 race jerseys. Excellent job guys! Of course Vollbach can't wear two of them at once. So he has to pass the polka dots to Sergey from Hudson. Yacks, Ryan and I are 1-3 in sprint points. So we've gotta hang on there. I am up for making a go of sprint points if nobody else is feeling it this year.

Next time we have to do a better job of getting a lead out sorted to sweep up a few more points/$$$ in the final sprint. We got swarmed and we were not communicating, but we still could have taken 1 and 2 there if we got that lead-out sorted out better.
