I'm going to give the Cs one more go and then try the B's out.
joined the C field.
Tonight, again, please wear the bumblebee yellow/black 'Basic 1' Jersey. and if possible, orange socks, orange hat.

See you at 7:30pm.

@RobertMullenis a breakaway monster and absolute beast. That is all
Good work everyone.

I couldn't hold on past 7 minutes again. :disappointed:
I couldn't hold on past 2 mins. Haha. I guess better than dropped at the start line.  Fun ride tho. Great to see familiar names.
Haha thank you! That was difficult (again and as always).

The group seemed to have broken in half somewhere after many MANY Kissena driven moves. I didnt want to sprint so I chased after a familiar name in the last 2mi or so and our small group of 3 stayed away. I managed to win the 2 up sprint after the punchy climbs gave us some separation. I've pretty much been going back and forth with this guy Nany every race.

Fun times in the matrix with you all.
kept my socks high and aero, but still wasn't enough. that was super fun, 'tho!
Congrats Rob!! I couldn’t get my stuff set up in time, Bluetooth is a horrible technology, but very much looking forward to joining on the next one!
posting the link for tonights L&C race on zwift for anyone who didn't get it!

I'm signed up for the C race. Will likely skip it today. Ride on all of you tho.
Same, 730-830 is getting the kid into bed hour but I signed up anyway juuuuust in case.
I’m signed up and will likely do the C race.
Fun times. Ended up with a group of four off the back and we were just taking turns until the finish.

Also I kept seeing Jules and other Kissenas at the bottom of the leaderboard at various times, even tho they're ahead of my group. What's the story there?
Really fun race overall. The pace was high but I felt like I settled into a good rhythm (heart rate was steady but not too high) and was in a good place. We made the final u turn and the sprint went sooner then expected. I managed to make up some places but was too little too late.

The KCC boys were looking sharp the whole race though. We were up near the front chasing down potential moves, setting pace and really controlling everything for the majority of the race.
Another enjoyable race. The Bike Parade Podcast did not reward its sponsors (Coors Light, Nathan’s Hotdogs and Cheetos) with a win. Post race press conference comments from TBPP included; I had a slow flat, training has been too hard this week, I don’t like cold weather and I was going back for some bottles when the winning move went.
I had a lot of excuses lined up for this one and figured I’d fool some of the sprinters by going all in for the sprint each lap hoping another Kissena would pick up the pieces at the finish. Turns out I didn’t need the excuses and felt really good. I’ll be getting shit out the back of the Bs next time around. Nonetheless, it was awesome seeing so many teammates around even virtually!!
This was my first Zwift race. I joined in tonight fully ready to get dusted. But a short flat course suits me (especially in my hometown of RVA). Even if my HR was pinned the entire duration I felt good. Another lap and I would have been toast. But I had enough in the tank for a long sprint out of final hairpin to finish 3rd. Had a great time. I’ll be doing more of these for sure.
Holy crap. Well for every bit that this weekend's race was pleasant at the start this one was hard. The course was more or less pancake flat and the pace did.not.relent.

Kudos to the lads who hung in there.

I had high hopes of doing well before the start and despite a dinner-timing snafu (cst vs est) and a slightly overfull belly I felt ok in the first five minutes. Ten minutes later I was in misery and held the pace only by convincing myself that this would be a new 20 minute field test.

Turns out I pulled a lifetime 3rd best power for 20 minutes... and my notes say that my all-time high was a suspect power tap.

So - 18th place is meh but my Garmin says I won.
Outstanding rides Nathan & Jason, really stellar. I saw Nate in the Green early on and then my eyes were closed in agony after that.
The start, middle and finish were were all hard this week. There's no real feature on the crit "course" to help separate everyone (apart from everyone pedaling real hard) and I ended up 19th with the Bs. All in all, a super convincing way to get yourself to ride at threshold for a while!
Is there a race happening today?  If so, what is the code?  Hoping to join this afternoon.

I am likely for the C race.
Matt, Phillip M., and myself joined the shorter L&C Virtual race. Field was bigish with basically 30 people at the start.

Shorter courses are not my strength, but kinda like this short loop of virtual central park.

Matt and I managed to stay at the front, and while I wondered if I should try to break away, we both held on to feather power ups to use on the last rise. People started sprinting before it, which I frankly did not but should have expected. Went for it zwift style, Matt waited even a second longer than me, proving super smart, altho I am gonna totally take credit for virtually leading him out. I held on for six, Matt would sprint past everyone for the WIN. SO MUCH HOTNESS.

While I definitely miss riding and racing outside, these virtual events are great respite, and hard hard fun. Even if apart, knowing that we are doing them together is huge. Congrats Matt. Sharp Virtual Fire.

@eloy - Did we both raced B tonight? How did you do? Holy shit it’s intense. I raced 3.6 w/kg average and still lost leaders with 0.8 miles left and landed 20th. Seriously hard but fun!

@eloy - Just saw your post. Was that B or C?
Looks like anyone who gets W/kg gets punted off leaderboard on zwiftpower?
