Shit you guys.

Heal up quick John.

Hope you're okay Tim.
Damn, get well soon John. Tim glad to hear it was just some scrapes.
Damn.

Heal up quick John

Tim, isn't this your third crash of the season? The go pro screen shots look awful (although the hand stand looks pretty cool).  Glad you aren't too hurt.

No. Fourth. (if we're just counting races) I'm feeling really embarrassed and frustrated by that fact.

Shmalz blames Frias... no surprise. Frias went down spectacularly doing the same shit last Thursday.

John, thats tough news.   But an opportunity to catch up on all those episodes of Downton Abby .  Hope you get on the bike again soon.
Damn, John -- I was sorry to hear you went down. Heal up buddy.

Tim -- glad you made it home alright. Those screen grabs make the crash look a lot worse than you described. I'm glad you made it through mostly unscathed.
Tim looks like a cartwheel . Pretty cool actually. Sorry it happened though.
Jules you're not supposed to ride over a teammate's head.
John, so sorry to hear about your crash. My thoughts are with you. Heal up fast!

Glad to hear the rest of you FBF fellas weren't seriously injured.
Oh-mageeerrrdddd.

John's going to take 3 months off, lose 20lb, then become a GC guy.

Yang- Photoshop a picture of Big Johnny in a KOM jersey so he can pin it up on his wall whilst doing rehab.
Huge shout-out and thank you to Lisa and Jules Roazen for the chaperoning, sage advice, doctor maneuvering and generally completely going out of their ways late last night at Lutheran Hospital (with baby in tow) and today. Also to the guys taking care of my bike and gear: Jeff Gottesman and Dan Reiners. And thanks for the quite literally overwhelming support from the club. Really thanks to you all, I love this club.

Phil Castaldi is also a champ -- connecting me to biker surgeon Claudette Lajan... fingers crossed things are turning out ok so far.

Didn't know you have to sleep sitting, and have developed a big respect for all my fellow club collarboners.
Pics below: me trying to get my ass off the ground putting full weight on the broken clavicle-- that's pretty much when I headed to shocksville.

Really glad you were taken care of and mending at home.  Holla if you need anything.
@John

Sorry to hear about the spill. I hope you heal fast.
Just in case you need another Dr recommendation: Michael Maynard at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He also specializes in Sports related orthopedic surgery, But seems like you have a good recommendation already.

If you need anything just ask also  I'll be driving up to your neighborhood soon(ish). If you need anything returning I can collect and deliver.

Grimper!!!!
John, heal up buddy. You can now turn your attention to fantasy cycling.
I'm still processing video.  FWIW it looks like there was one other rider there with a GoPro on his bike... anyone video search savvy enough to find it?
At about 43:33 you can see something happened to Misha that had him slowed down almost to a stop. My crash would have been right after that.

At about 44:52 is the crash that got John.

I've tried to step through it frame by frame a few times, but I can't really see what happened in either case.
This guy looks to have been right in front of John, it's still pretty inscrutable what happened other than a big wreck... http://youtu.be/2ZYnuYyoIvA
Videographer used the stabilize option on YouTube.  Terrible idea.

That's some dedication right there.
Frias is now a Cat 2
Shit... Now there is nowhere to hide!
I thought FBF races didn't help for upgrades from 3...
It appeared that someone else within NYSBRA issued the upgrade. Despite me not wanting to count FBF for upgrades (for many reasons), in this case, it's the safest thing to do.
Ok, two updates for you Floyd Fiends.

1) Rumor has it that Johnny Wrongway got his Robotic Arm clavicle repaired today, so he'll be back on the rollers by dawn.

2) I *finally* figured out what was going on with trying to pair High-Res (47fps) footage from my GoPro with data from my Garmin - I had to downgrade the footage to 30fp for those who care - so I should have some nice video WITH ALL MY GARMIN DATA for you soon, teaser below...

Lesson #1: how do you know there is going to be a crash?

When the field looks like this with 1/2 lap to go....
