Thanks Phil - Thursday's a bit too early for me but I'll try again this next Tuesday
Anyone racing Floyd this Thursday- https://www.bikereg.com/ws-uniteds-roubaix-race-series-pb-champion-system-presented-by-roys-sheepshead-cycle15

I'm riding out from Manhattan around 4:30-4:45. My race goes off at 7. Going to get there early. Any takers?

Thinking about doing this tomorrow. Anyone else?
Race report: I flatted out of a 6 man break with Nathan and Aaron from Rockstar that formed in the second lap. That was my 15 minutes of fame. Then I went home.
Ouch Phil
That sucks Phil,I thought the break was gone the entire race since I never saw u in the peloton. I sat in and made it for a top 15ish. See you next week.
It's a cruel world Chaim. A cruel world.
4 Seasons tho

Getting in the winning break...that's HUGE. Keep it up Phil!
Only two races left.

Congratulations. 4 Seasons 25's!

After the race next Tuesday (last one for the season), anyone up for Veselka?
An email to me from FGX.

Next Tuesday is the last of TUESDAY Night Special at Veselka this summer...So Tom/Veselka has agreed to...

1) First beer is on the house
2) $10 off on EVERYONE's meal
3) Free Veselka waterbottle (come early*)
4) Free Veselka t-shirt (come early*)

*come early as in 8:45-9:00pm

Race or not, come join us!

Chaim - how'd you do? Did you come in 5th or something? I got shelled in the fourth lap. The wind was brutal. Crazy how that break lapped remnants of the 1/2/3 field. I've never seen that before.
I came in 4th in the field sprint, and there were 6 riders In the break, so 10th over all. It was very windy at floyd last night
I plan on heading out on Tuesday (Cat 5) if I can break from the office (greater than a 73% chance) .... anyone else heading out as well ? I can meet at GAP
Scott - I gotta update the calendar but there are no more Tuesday night Floyd races this year. Last race was last week. The graveyard series on Sunday is the only game in town locally.
Bummeriffic!  I thought the last one was tomorrow ... I'll be at the Mangoseed ride on Sunday.
This starts Tuesday 5/3

They have prereg for the first race only, though you don't have to sign up:

Keep your number if you go.  It's yours for the season.
Just signed up! Tuesday night races at floyd are awesome
Tonight's race is cancelled per email from Charlie.

Tonight's race has been shortened to a 1000m relay swim. Bring your Speedo.
Do I need to pre-reg for FBF Tuesdays?  Do we get discount as its presented by Kissena? If leaving from Prospect Park entrance, how much time should I budget to get out there? So many questions. ... Gotta balance leaving the work and all ...
This is the first race at FBF this season so you should pre-reg. Otherwise it's not necessary for the rest of the season (same number thru the season).

It takes me an hour from midtown East, and 30 mins from the GAP via Flatbush Ave (although some people avoid taking Flatbush since you know, it's the highway of death).

As for discount, who knows if we get one this year. But volunteer and you can race for free.
Anyone doing the 3/4 or 123 race? Debating on heading to this but will more likely head to prospect to do the TP workout. CP is too crowded for afternoon intervals.
I wont be able to make it, but trust this: FBF will be dramatically harder and better for your fitness than any other workout you'll do today.
first Tuesday night at Floyd.  Got dropped at 3.5 laps, totally blew up (I assume thanks to Bear Mtn), but also set new power numbers (on top of numbers reached at Bear, no less).  So at least my fitness is gaining.

Almost gave up at the end of the 4th lap until I saw @Phil Maronilla and he gave me a proper - and needed - talking.  I finished the race solo.

I know I can hang and do well.  I need to work on my strategy and be fine with taking it easy during sections of a race.
Seems about time for @Vlad to make an entrance in this thread, because FBF will school you like...
