Long Island Triangle Ride

Anyone looking for a vigorous ride should go. Last Thursday night ravaged my legs.
I'm in for a weekend triangle ride. Sat or Sun?
Will be there Saturday, pro'lly not Sunday this week.

This weekend dudes.  Especially you GMSR folks.  Make it happen.

I'd wager we are getting better workouts without the drive.
A poorly conceived comment.  If you have never done the ride I can't imagine how you might make the comparison.

Actually I was thinking I'd been on it but I just realized I've only read passionate descriptions about it from Yacks - my bad
Ryan,
I very much like the triangle ride. It is a good, although shorter workout.
If there are two things in life I'm passionate about it's the Triangle Ride...and circus peanuts, I mean they're orange, shaped like peanuts yet they taste like bananas.  So vexing.
Made it to out yesterday albeit missing most of the usual crew who were apparently on a 7am ride out to Montauk. We held a decent pace all the same...thanks to Lenny for the course notes :)

Good riding with you Nialls.  The group was smaller than usual and the pace a bit slower, but still a good ride.

FYI - Tuesday and Thursday nights tend to be faster from the gun than weekends (and shorter - about 40 mi.) but will finish in the dark around this time of year going forward.  I avoid them when the days get shorter.
I'll be there Saturday.
Will be there Saturday too.  Also Sunday, unless there is a GMSR group ride with some balls on offer?  Which could be the Sunday Triangle Ride if there is interest.

Adam, any chance you could rally your teammates for a GMSR pre-ride? Not necessary, but certainly can't hurt. You guys can start talking strategy.
Would love to.  Been hinting at it for weeks but crickets.
I'm in for a GMSR squad ride this Sunday, but am looking for more distance than the triangle, and the drive doesn't work with my schedule. Any chance you can join us at the GW Adam?
What are you planning Joaquin?

Well, more like how many people and how slow/fast will it be.  I will be honest, I am not particularly looking for base miles 5 days out from my season's main goal.

Maybe not "base miles" exactly, but you should be thinking about a good taper so you arrive in VT fresh and well rested.
Adam, we have 6 or more hours in a car and the rest of us have 4 nights in a house together to discuss all sorts of subjects - GMSR strategy and the merits and inconveniences of the triangle ride included. Saturday I'll be riding long - 80 ish - with a few sharp efforts on the hills and endurance the rest of the time. I'll try to get out for the triangle ride this fall. Do need to try it.
(BTW I am SUPER looking forward to the racing and chilling w the crew of good peeps we have assembled. Both are sorely needed!)
Two great rides this weekend.  Eric and Lenny both looking strong.  KCCC coming up??
Adam is a beast!  I got dropped on the last climb (Horseshoe) from the 3 man breakaway on the Triangle ride.  Adam and Mark Zenga kept going.  I chased for a while but couldn't close the gap and spent the rest of the day in no man's land between the breakaway and the field.  Good luck at Green Mountain.  You're strong enough to podium.  Be smart and have a safe race.
I don't know what I like more...an in form Adam or a Lenny getting dropped.  Both appeal to my sensibilities.
you like pink socks to go with that garish outfit you wore Saturday.
Depends...are we talkin "Hi-Vis" pink?
Is there another choice really?
