Long Island Triangle Ride

235 comments · 2090 views
Hey everyone, a couple of times a year, we make a push to have a good Long Island ride starting at the Triangle.

Given that there is no racing this weekend, I think Sunday works well.

7:30 start time (I need to be back at a more reasonable hour).
Leave from Park Slope area at 7 and things are golden at Exit 32 on the LIE.

I know a route, but hopefully Lenny or Spider could also lead the ride.

I didn't ask Lenny about this yet, so its a surprise!!!

Please respond in this thread to indicate:
1. want to go?
2. need a ride?

I have room for 2 (or three if two are smaller in size bike wise).
If we get Jim, he's got beaucoup room.
Mike might be able to get a couple too.

Other people with cars?

E
I am going to do the Triangle Ride on Sunday, May 8.
8:30 at the Little Neck Triangle.

I have room for two leaving Park Slope at 7:45.

Eric
Hey E,

I'm down to do the Triangle Ride tomorrow, I will see you at your place at 7:30

One spot left.
Whitey?
Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. That's "cracker" as you-know-who would say.
I will be there
Does that you mean you are coming
Car full
I think the Triangle starts about two miles from the Douglaston LIRR Stop, and I think this stop can be accessed from either Penn station or Atlantic.
I hope this is a hard ride, as I need to repent and self-flagellate for sleeping in, missing the race. Also, forgot to catch a plane to the Kentucky Derby, failed to qualify for the NYC Mayor's Cup ping pong tournament, and lost my front row tickets to the Lady Gaga concert. Oh, but it's my birthday and I have leftover cookies I'll bring. Your lucky day!
Just ride hard, it will hurt
After extensive research, I have decided to take the 7:40 LIRR train to Floral Park, which arrives at 8:19. I hope you will wAit for me. The timing is slightly better than to Douglaston and its about the same distance.

If my legs agree, I'll join you for the Triangle (at least for the start). 35' ride from Forest Hills. Don't be late. They sometimes (often?) leave on time. You can always catch up if you're five minutes late, but you have to hammer...
is anyone interested in doing the triangle on sunday?? a couple more long rides, and then switch over to 'cross training. i am also planning on heading out to riverfhead on the 19th for the friday nite kreb race, if anyone is interested.
Interested in both.

The more Kissenas we can get at the Triangle ride, the better.
will keep in touch. planning on saturday as of now
Racing in Prospect on Saturday. Not sure if I'd make the 8:30 Triangle ride in time, but I'll try. Let me know what you're up to that morning. My number is 631 275 1454.
Sunday is doable for me
I'm in for this and would need a ride if one's available.
I'm 90% likely and can fit 3 more.
i'd love to join - need to check what the fam has in store this weekend. any estimate on what time we'd get back?
I need to be back noonish.
we will be back by then, hence the earlier start
I'd love to do this.
Not in but would be next time :(
I will come to LI but need a ride
I'm in - also need a ride if one's still available.
I love surprises. Count me in.
*bump* any rides still on offer?
Who is in my car?

Jim - you in?

Perlberg?
Sorry guys but I might have to bail on this one. I'll know for sure by tonight.
