re-reading the thread and am now confused. thought i was in jules' car - is this no longer the case?
have fun you bastards...i have to be at a track meet at 7:30 am.....
Ok I'll drive to and can bring two others. With that it looks like we have room for Stearns, Ryan and Owens. I'll have my car at Ragot's (6th ave and 2nd st.) a little before 7am. Meet me there and we'll all go together. Let me know if there are takers.
jeff/jules - i'll roll to ragot's, we can sort out who's in which car there? see you in a few...
.
400 normalized for 5 minutes
276 for the full 3 hours

Boom

Good ride guys...
Indeed
and for the record, my legs are smoking cinders right now... trying to chase 2 munchkins around on these pins is a spectacular agony.
Damn

That is serious BOOM!

I know that was a goal, so big ups.

My SRM died at the beginning of exams, so all I know is that I dropped Joe
Thanks Will; I won't count it as "done" till it's a real average, but I'm plenty happy (and tired)

Now I am about to commence operation "cookie monster" at bear burger.

Gentlemen, I salute you
Good ride today guys. Thanks for coming out to LI. My legs are cooked from trying to keep up with you guys on the climbs. Let's do it again soon.
Great ride today - thanks all. The legs are toasty for sure. Challenging pace, a couple of nice climbs....Triangle Ride def gets a thumbs up. Definitely would like to do it again.
would like to jam on this ride sometime . . . i have an impression of Long Island as being one long exit ramp with diners at intervals . . .

PROVE ME WRONG, CHILDREN!

PROVE ME WRONG!
DC you are totally wrong, as today's riders will attest

You are welcome to come leg tear with us any weekend

I had a great time with everyone today, looking forward to doing it again

FMOI, is that the standard tempo for a Kissena group ride?

Those GWB rides are the same tempo?
It was a great way to break the routine. the beginning's rhythm was a bit chopped up by the red lights but once we got into the country roads we were smooth sailing. Lots of beautiful scenery and harbor views. The cold spring harbor climb was a good little kicker. I had a lot of fun overall, everyone was a good sport and the riding was quality: Go kissena!
@ WDC: 2k feet of climbing - I got the sense we could have done more. Climbs were all shorter and steeper than State Road - very well suited to guys like you, Ryan, Joe, Aly... and apparently Christian. No joke. We've got to get that guy on the track!

@ Christian: I'd say that was a typical GWB ride; about halfway to a Jawbone ride. It makes the top 10 hardest rides of the year for me, but not the top 5.
Let's do this again soon!
...guys?
I'm still smarting from missing the Jawbone throwdown yesterday.  Thinking about a Wed morning trip up 9W right now...
I'll definitely be down for some more triangular riding after Cielo.

^^ second that ^^
Me too. This ride was awesome.
It would be my last one until August. But I can try for the 1st.
If we get enough numbers out, I would be happy to to put a bit of effort into this.  I could arrange the route and place a few KOM points and we could make a little competition.  Maybe Lenny/Christian would like to get involved too, being members of the Kissena LI gang.  It would be along the lines of where you guys went before but I am sure I could find some more hills to make it fun.

I would really like to pre-ride Pawling the weekend of the 1st (it's a week before the race) so maybe we could arrange a Kissena double header: Pawling pre-ride one day, LI KOM competition the other?!

Like I said, happy to arrange this as it is pretty much my local neighbourhood IF we have good numbers (10+).
Triangle KOM competition would be REALLY fun. Glad to help in any way!
Going to hit this tomorrow.  Get involved!
@Adam Maybe next week for me.
Will try to do this at the weekend.
Hitting this again.  Got my ass handed to me by some Cat1 last week so think I'll return for another helping.

Will be there tomorrow morning, bright and early.
BTW, I mention this not so that you can all see how awesome I am by doing group rides, but that it might tempt some of you other schmucks out for a ride out here.

Having said that, I am pretty awesome.
