Hello, friends

As some of you know, I'm moving to Geneva, Switzerland today. I just wanted to say thank you to the club, friends old and new, for making racing a bicycle so enjoyable. You have been an inspiration, and I'm so glad I finally heeded BGB's exhortations to join. If you are cycling in the Swiss neighborhood, let me know and we'll go climb some mountains. Until then, I'll enjoy being inspired by your exploits from afar.

We'll be riding in Umbria in August. (I assume you don't have ant riding/travel plans down that way this summer?)

This summer might be the last one we own the house, which is a few miles from Grasse, Fayence (check the route of the one before last stage of Paris-Nice, last year they were just a couple hundred yards from my house in Spéracèdes), so I hope I'll be able to stay there (it might be rented out some weeks). When I'm not there and not traveling, I'll be in the apartment I am renting in the 6th arrondissement of Paris (51 rue Saint-Placide).
Neil, I'm going to Naples next Thursday and I will be near Rome mid-May, but no travel plans (yet) for this summer.

I don't know about the Catskills, Wojciech, but I'm still thinking about GMSR, especially if they have a 60+ category as they said last year (I'll just skip the crit if it rains...).

you are the first Kissena i met @the Runcible Spoon Nyack, NY, hope we ride/commune again soon either in usa, eu, other, you are a great spirit/rider/racer/competitor/raconteur &encyclopedic knowledge. enjoyed time/insights shared at GMSR last year, you rode so well &strong including crit /crash.

Hey guys. I've safely arrived and so far it looks like the last two bikes have as well. I'm looking forward to learning the routes around here so I can be a knowledgable guide when any of you visit. And also get my ass in shape so I can keep up. I haven't been this out of shape and overweight in a few years.

How is the cheese?

Hey, guys - I just wanted to send a short note to say that it's so motivating to read about all of the great things going on with the club. We are definitely on the rise, with a great vibe and strong riders. You're all inspiring me to get out there and ride, and wear the kit with pride. Even threw a few sprints at the end of todays ride.
I can also say that the riding here is sweet. My closest Geneva mountain, the Saleve, has one approach that is absolutely brutal, with 4k of it dishing out 12-13% of relentless slogging through switchbacks. Very hard when you're not in shape. And right now I'm in the Zurich area, and the roads here are some of the best I've ever experienced. Roads that will slowly climb and then get steeper over a few k, sweeping descents, beautiful countryside, cows, etc etc. The signage is also mostly clear, with indications of what direction towns are and how many k to get there. If you do a bike vacation here, you won't regret it.

And the cheese is great.
