Yeah! Hope to see Norm in just under an hour, then pick up his bike rental and get him situated. Hopefully we'll get a couple rides in together. I'm looking forward to getting dusted on the climbs.
And I'll definitely get plugged into the local scene. I think I'll do something similar to what Mattio has done. Get involved with local clubs while staying connected to my Kissena homies.

Sad to see you go William, even if you never overcame your delusion that wearing pink arm warmers gave you the right to be the bike fashion police. Bit seriously, I'm happy for your new opportunity in one of my favorite cities. I'd love to raise a stein with you. Best of luck

As several of you know, on Monday I did a reverse Columbus and undiscovered America. Due to my visa running out and my company and I being unable to get another one this year, I have had to return to sunny England after 18 great months in NYC. But don't get too sad, as all being well I'll be coming back to New York in a year's time I had a great time with the club in the relatively short time I was around and really enjoyed getting to know everyone who I had the fortune to actually meet in person.Plus, after a lot of hard work, I got back to something approaching my former heights and had a great time doing so. Racing highlights this season have to be:

1. Winning the State Champs
2. Racing in the Pro-Am field at T-Town and not entirely getting my ass kicked, with my track homies Andy, Ragot and JP
3. Winning the Keirin Cup in NJ and emerging alive

But more than that, I had a great time riding with everyone who made it down to our spiritual home of Kissena Velodrome and especially getting to teach some of you the ins and outs of track riding and racing. I was thrilled to see the enthusiasm for track grow a lot in the club this year and really hope you'll all continue to ride it next season. You'd better, as I'll be harrassing you to do it, only over the Internet instead ;-)

I'm back in London and living in a hotel / mini-apt for the next couple of months. I have my road bike, so I plan to hit the road when I get settled in, and then get stuck into some gym work in the dark winter months. And then in March 2014, the Olympic velodrome finally opens to the public so I hope to be all over that!
I'll be back in NYC to visit often enough. In the meantime, keep it real and take care.
