Do any of you Brooklynites want to get together to watch the track (running) stuff tonight? It would be fun to watch with some bros. I'm thinking something low key like at someone's place. Basically, I'm inviting myself over to watch tv with you.

Also, there's Live coverage of the Womens Track Cycling Finals on NBC 4 from 4:30 - 5:00. Get some.

The men's 10k yesterday was greAt. A huge result for American distance running. 100m is always entertaining, and the 3k steeplechase has an American with a legit shot for the first time in a long time... Evan jager. I will be w watching vi a mobile app

Agreed - the strategical similarities of the 10k race to bike racing made the race even more fun to watch for me.

Hey, why the heck don't they have the Olympic RR at the end of the games, and give the TdF riders a chance to recover a bit?

Also, 37 year old woman gets 5th in the vault tonight. I think it's time for me to retire from cycling and take up gymnastics again.

It will be especially useful in making me look extra creepy as I use my credentials to hit on the 16-year-old girls gymnastics team in the Olympic village.

Apparently the US women's soccer goalie Hope Solo is celebrating my victory in the sprint competition for L&C Cup. I am not sure those socks are UCI regulation.

Mara Abott's road race was incredible. She didn't medal....but she won everyone's hearts. Anybody seen the online forums about her race # flopping in the wind. Looked like she used 4 pins...It is being posited that had she used tape to secure that # she would have saved enough watts to win gold = just sayin

I like Armstrong, but why is she kissy-kissy with Zabelinskaya? Zabelinskaya's caught using an illegal fat-burner (was in her *seafood*). Dumb and dumber IOC and CAS somehow make it so she can wriggle out of her 2 year ban and get on the start line. The whole thing stinks and you can see van der Breggen almost puke when she sees the Russian jumping up and down thinking she's won gold. Gross.

And I'm still uncomfortable with it.
