At this point my default assumption is that if they're on the podium they're doping. In all sports.

In my book Abbott's comportment in the face of heartbreak is far more laudable than peddling a bike good.
Kristin Armstrong is the oldest woman to win gold in _anything_ since an archer in 1904. I could see a 43 year old winning something like archery. But a time trial? Against the strongest 20-somethings the world has to offer? After repeatedly "retiring" so she wouldn't get drug tested? Uh huh.
I see this steering towards the Doper's thread...

When I think how hamfisted UCI can be sometimes, I just look at other sports governing bodies, and they make the Cookson's Keystone Kops look good.

Swimmers qualifying times occur in events they were disqualified at. Nothing fishy there folks. If they can't keep track of swimmers at races, I also have a feeling like the out-of-competition testing would make Lizzy Armistead happy.

Armstrong was tested a bunch this year, but for sure there's reason to question the performance given she and the Rusky are sans bio-passport.
Oof. More USAC jerk-tastic behavior...

Here is USA Cycling’s statement on Chloe/Erin Olympics team decision with no mention of arbitration and Allen Krughoff’s Instagram post with more details on what actually happened. pic.twitter.com/TPIkmymNiZ

I cannot think of anything more FIYAH than WVA winning the Olympic time trial. Sprint, Climb, Time Trial. Unreal.
All race courses should be described as poetically as the Olympic XC mountain bike course:

This is all kinds of amazing! It reminds me of this map (if you know, you know)

Also, and I cannot stress this enough... (to be said with the same intensity and aggression as "hold your line!!!")

"Kern, dammit, kern!"

Apropos nothing; I can't think of a more baller torch lighting than Barcelona...

(Whoa. Mega bump) The women's race was fiyah.
So so good !
I don't have to convince anyone here, but if you ever wonder why city parks, and the little bicycle riding we do on them, matters.

Here's a clip NBC News put together a few days ago, showing Kristen on her Dave Jordan kit, racing central park:

And here's Kristen, wearing team USA's kit, and winning a GOLD MEDAL in the biggest stage in the world:

What ,she started in central park and was a venture capitalist @David Yang , your kidding right?
Paging Evie Stevens ;)

I'm not. In fact did you know that Roglic was a champion skier before he got into bikes??? Crazy right???
Yeah, yeah, the parallel between Evie + Faulkner is not lost. Both crazy town successful. Both part of a long list of world class athletes that have come thru the NYC ranks.
FWIW Kissena alum Erika Tarte beat Evie's strava record up Alpine.
