I am skipping the Morning training on Thursday for this.

Oh I can't wait to rock my Red Polka Dot MTB jersey from a race I did in VT. wear that with some Kissena orange shorts. I'll be digging out my helmet visor as well. Can't do this without a helmet visor. I think I'll have to ride the CX bike so I am wearing MTB shoes, this is going to be awesome!

A Kissena Fred-bomb of the Rapha ride. I can't wait!
Clymb is selling these abominations...perfect for eye searing freditude.

Fred-bomb! I love it. Crap, I can't find my jerseys...I do have a Swiss champion Assos one that may do for more subtle-fredness. Oh, and white bib shorts. Let's hope it rains.
i could totally see the Schlecks in those jerseys
oh wow this thursday just got amazing!
This thread is why I love Kissena...

Marc, it's not entirely your fault. I make it confusing by making fun of, while at the same time wearing, Rapha on occasion (its' like a double-reverse non-ironical irony guilty pleasure). Also, they are the only CRCA team I would ever join, precisely b/c they are so mediocre. And I assume you'd get the kit for free (?), and the stuff is actually nice/simple. Plus, I think I read their "mission statement" for this year, which was something akin to: riding only so we can stop and get coffee as often as possible. A nice respite from all the hyper-competitive amateur race circuit attitudes.
I am serious about fred-bombing the Rapha ride. I do love their stuff, but I honestly can't justify any of it, except on superduper sale.

I don't think i could have justified the neon green booties and grey jerseys they're wearing on Sunday. Oh god that is a heinous look. I guess if you can't wear your $450 perforated yak scrotum shoes you still want folks to look at your feet.

I just read the last headline on that Bicycle Guide cover. "Why you need a $2800 hybrid bike." Some things never change... http://www.rapha.cc/beloved-every-day
Yeah, you can get all that shit for a third of the price on eBay, which is where I get most of it if not on the superduper sale. I wouldn't pay list for any of it. That's Cray-zee

Saving up for their $700 tailored dandy jacket... Oh wait, the have TWO!

And someone has a birthday coming up...
Fellow Fred Troopers: Valve caps on innertubes. Push seat all the way forward, nose down. Lock out gear to 53x12.
spacers UNDER the stem

all of them

if you're an unlucky fool who slammed his stem back when you thought you were cool, then get a +28degree Dimension brand stem with the cat turd welds
Oh jeez I am so sad I can't join the fredbomb 2012.... Khaaaaan!

John, Joe, and myself kitted up for the fred ride. I think we did ourselves well. The only other person so bold was wearing Jelly Belly stuff.

Pity Dan and Jeff couldn't make it.

And he was a pro....
Fredbomb photos?? Post 'em if you got 'em...
He was? I thought the guy just loved Jelly Belly.

Sorry, I only took photos after, and everyone is covered in Rapha. Ironically, the Rapha communications guy took pictures of me.
Photo's taken by John M!
Rapha Fred Bomb mission a success.
Made sure we were third wheel for the pro photog at Tavern. JP took prize with ultra bright blue Cannondale tights and pink 80's team jersey, Joe close second with wool jersey combo'd with ChampSys (ouch) KOM dot's shorts. I rocked my Green Floyd jersey with purple Cat 5 leaders jersey and extra packing tape.
Booyah!

P.S. I have to say, I was pretty envious of all the Rapha (Prada?) kit porn and demure grey on black carbon lu$ciousness on show... Of course there was still the newb all Rapha'd out barely turning 53x14 with his Powermeter at a 45 degree angle.

Will post evidence later.
So awesome!!! I'm glad you guys rep'd so well. Wish I wasn't sick.

Heard J-Pow was super nice but maybe didn't think the Fred bomb was that funny? Whatever! I guess Rapha rides are serious business!!! You never know when they might be glorified on their blog (watch their van diemens land "edit" for truly hilarious grandiosity). They should know the company is a bit, uh, serious and faux. That doesn't mean the stuff isn't nice. That's why I have some!

JP definitely wins the Fred Bomb trophy. Now that outfit it epic. Every color in the rainbow.
Jeremy wasn't hatin', he was appreciatin'.

So,too, was Rapha's chief, who was in from the UK for the event. At least that's what he indicated.
What's an appropriate FredBomb Trophy?
Cool stop action of mountain bike assembling itself..of you like that kind of stuff

I like Rapha stuff. I feel ashamed. My club has indoctrinated me to mock and hate them, but I actually like their annoyingly plain grey, fluorescent yellow and black ensembles.

I feel that only Owens is out of the closet about his Rapha love, but I think there are probably a fair few in the club who ring late-night 'Rapha chat lines' without anyone knowing. Ashamed of their desire but not able to resist.

When I am next back in the UK I will buy all of their stuff.
It's the best quality stuff I've ever owned. Worth both the money and the mockery.

seriously....jeesh. So that's what you meant when you were going to philly to fix your girlfriend's sink.
I too am a lover of the Rapha clothing, but I loathe their marketing. I really like their non-racing city riding stuff, but I have to get it on sale.
