it no let me see :(

says I don't have "permission"
Arrrrrrrrrrgh. And the forum doesn't let my attach jpegs, mpegs, or files or anything. Is there a way we can change that? Maybe this will work:

Think you need to change Sharing settings to 'public" in gdocs, on the right frame
I look at Bikereg, like I look at weather.com for a big weekend where the weather is iffy:

"Maybe this time when I check, there will actually be more than 2 good races in June AND July?"

Naah, not today folks. Still looks like rain, sleet and snow...
Looking at the start list for Philly, I see the Garmin Development squad...but no Gavi. How old is Gavi? Did Garmin need his mean-age lowering abilities so bad that they said, here have a bike and a kit, be on our team, but we'll be damned if you actually race with us--ever!?

For all of you out there with an activist bent when it comes to transportation issues, check out this great report from Drum Major Institute and Transportation Alternatives called "Vision Zero: How Safer Streets in New York City Can Save More Than 100 Lives a Year":

http://transalt.org/files/newsroom/reports/2011/Vision_Zero.pdf

It's actually quite readable, and in my opinion, very well done.
watch out for these guys at Housatonic this weekend:

From cyclingnews.com, Ivan Basso says:

“An example: one day at the Dauphiné, I was on Boasson Hagen’s wheel for quarter of an hour above threshold and I was doing 430 watts. I’ve just done a test and I’m doing 440 watts at threshold. It means that my condition is improving. An excellent sign. I’ll be at my best by the ninth stage, with the first tough climbs."

440 watt threshold??? I'm pretty close to calling this bullshit. I mean, I know he's Ivan Basso and all, but, I think this jamoke needs to zero his torque or something.
Don't.

Let's assume that his 20-minute power is 440 watts. Assume he weighs 72 kg (158.4lbs). That puts his w/kg at 6.11. According to the power profile chart Andy Coggan set up, that puts him a little below the middle of the "world class" bracket.

Here's the chart: http://www.flammerouge.je/content/3_factsheets/constant/wattkilobench.htm

I've been paying attention to power numbers when they're reported. I can't vouch for reliability, but here are some to consider. Rory Sutherland allegedly did 6.3 w/kg on Sierra Road at Tour of California, and he was keeping pace with Andy Schleck and Levi Leipheimer, but behind Chris Horner. At the 2009 Tour, Contador allegedly put out 6.7 w/kg on the climb to Verbiers. At the 2008 Tour Sastre allegedly did under 6 w/kg up Alpe d'Huez, but attacked the group at 6.5 w/kg. Allen Lim claimed back that that Ricco did 6.7 w/kg for 12 minutes over the Aspin, and said of the effort, "you're smoking crack or you're some sort of man-greyhound hybrid." Interestingly, Coggan's chart claims the highest effort recorded was 6.5 w/kg for 20 minutes.
This is somewhat relevant: http://www.sportsscientists.com/search?q=The+Biological+Passport+Part+2:+Effective+fight+or+futile+failure?
Check the "introduction of Passports" graph.
Quite relevant. thanks.
Wow. Check out nyvelocity. LIsban tested positive.
Man that is crazy, let the shit slinging begin.
That is absolutely appalling. Is it safe to assume this FUCKTARD has a lifetime ban from Kissena races?
@ Jeff. No fucking way. We could play a fun game, point out all the ex-dopers still racing in NYC. At least one busted doper, came off his suspension, and is on a big time local team that rhymes with Schmengoni.
Lame.
which one is Lisbon?

Is he the funny one, the cute one or the bad boy?

(i get them confused)
Are you talking about Boyz 2Men, Color Me Badd, or New Edition? Definitely the cute one.
The quiet one.
The one who seems only marginally fit.
and then the next week blows everyone's doors off.
His friends say "oh, he just gets fit really fast. You know, when he puts his mind to it."

And they're right. Doping can do that.

At least Lisban owned up to his doping. Not like the others who pretend it was an accident and give themselves a little cover and their friends the ability to play blind.
another reason I like it in the IV's...I don't have to make crazy sacrifices in diet and train 100's of miles a week only to have some jackass take drugs and beat me... I just skip the sacrifices & miles and let clean jackasses beat me. Can I downgrade to a VI?
Yack fu,
Hate to break it to you, but there's probably doping in the IVs. Almost certainly in the IIIs. Definitely in the Masters.

JP, stop ruining my outlook on cycling!, as far as I'm concerned it's all rainbows & butterflies and no one cheats. (:
Wojciech - keep hammering at the front of the field racing 7 days a week and people will start asking questions like "how does he do it without drugs?"

:) Just kidding.
I'm down for Yacks's category VI!
Category VI you aren't allowed to train at all and have to wear hiking boots and cut off jeans... and you have to chug a beer every lap. Wait. That's cyclocross.

Dude if there is doping in the IV's then it's a sad day for the dopers...

srsly lol
I hope there is doping in the IV's...as every once in a blue moon, I beat a doper on nothing but poptarts and coffee.
