Huzza!  On a related note, I just finally got around to exploring and uploading a bunch of my old GPS files to Strava (first time really loading anything onto Strava), and discovered a bunch of KOMs.  Most shockingly, it looks like I hold a KOM on Middlebury Gap on the GMSR road course.  Somehow I just narrowly beat Jamie Driscoll and Ted King.  Can't imagine that will hold up.

Also surprising is that I've got the KOM on Fiddlers Elbow in NJ.

Who knew.

I would appreciate a consult from one of you Strava wizards on the more advanced analysis and sharing features at some point.  I just joined the Kissena club page.

Hey, if you aren't on Facebook and aren't friends with Adam Myerson and/or Myles R., you are missing out on a truly entertaining discussion whereby the topic of the inequities of women's racing, in this case at nearby PA's Iron Hill (a pretty awesome day of racing which I'll mention later on the appropriate thread) criterium, is going on.

I spent a good 30 mins reading through all of the posts last night. I like that Becca and Racquel are giving it right back to Adam. I haven't gone to see if there are any more developments today.

I don't know why exactly, but the fact that the CRCA gets to cherry pick guys from the semi-pro sub teams, create a composite squad to big time races like Philly and now Tour de Beuce rubs kind of irritates me. #stilloldstillgrumpystillnotfastenough

They created a club that neo pros want to join. Nobody gave that to them.

Actually, the club created a structure and strong armed USAC into letting it exist outside the scope of the rules for a long time. Until last year or this (I can't remember) the whole subteam thing was just not kosher. Thus, CRCA was able to create a way to dilute their talent (sub-teams), pull in money to fund particular groups (sub-teams) based on who knew someone somewhere that would support a small group of riders. Then because they were part of a bigger club, the sub-teams didn't have to promote a race but were able to take advantage of club races.

Now, CRCA has a system which lets CRCA members use club races to upgrade from 5-4 and also to gain credit from 2-1. I've seen the latter multiple times despite the explicit language to the contrary.

Its not a club that neo-pros wanted to join. Its a collection of sub-teams that neo-pros want to join to avoid the true club experience. That's why Kissena doesn't do sub-teams. Though I will be rocking blue belly or white belly sub-teams for CX season (depends on the skin suit - ss or ls).

I'd be pissed if I were a category I racer in CRCA.  The Philly squad was made mostly of Champ-Sys guys who aren't in CRCA.  And the same goes for the team going to Beauce.  Other than some hedge-funder member having fun throwing his money around, I fail to see how this helps their club--it wasn't like the selection was any kind of open process.

Yes, you do appear to be awesome. How is the full sleeve tattoo coming along? USAC does not sanction any of those races. Please refer to BSNYC/RTMS for upgrade points and prizes for any and all commuter racing over East River Bridges.
