Dave - it's on my FB so it happened.. haha

That's hardcore, bro.
I'm sitting here pinching my belly.  Ready to get outdoors. . .
Seriously I'm supposed to be in NYC for work....we've got 6-8" out here
more lightly falling. Just unfroze my main water supply.

How much snow is on the ground in Brooklyn? Is it a total fu$% show or can
you drive around?

Phil good on you for MTBing

Myles - 6 inches at best in the city and queens. It was a non-event as far as I'm concerned.
Gotcha. I'll plan to drive in barring further apocalyptic actions

Beware eastern LawnGuyLand was hit pretty hard.
Ive only got six inches of snow. Drifts are pretty high though. Haven't been anywhere yet, the plows are notoriously late. Will head out tomorrow. Rollers today. Rumors of montauk 30" abound
Apropos nothing, I get to work with this guy at my new gig...

Pssh, call me when he can perform a "walk the dog" while track standing.
Does it count if he doesn't get the yoyo to return?
That's just a "yo"

Bummed to learn of this guy's passing. He was a ubiquitous, long time presence here in Greenpoint/WIlliamsburg and before that, in the East Village. He was friendly enough always giving a nod or a wave to other cyclists.

WTF is a guy his age doing delivering pizzas in the dark on a bicycle. That's some next level Dickensian shit that is.
John Sanderson gets some love from Slate

Maybe I have my logos wrong, but according to facebook, one of my favorite little shops 718 Cyclery is now a 5th Floor team sponsor.

David, I think you're right. Joe mentioned to me a while back that he had some interest in sponsoring a team (this was when we had just signed up with Ride). Good folks down there on 3rd Ave.

Is there a reason why this should be surprising? seems like a good match.

Every so often I'll ride a few laps with them in the park, cool crew.

Agreed that seems like a good match.
Made me smile
Can't find the forum thread so I'm posting here.

Seems that Rigby's photos of snowmageddon crash my computer.  I"ve tried to view them twice and my computer crashed both times.

Anyone else?  Anything I can do?

my browser is Safari.

analysis fail.
Not a problem with me JP.  By crash what do you mean - browser or OS stops responding and you had to restart one or both?  Could be one of a dozen different factors including how fast your internet speed was at the time, you or others on your lan or wlan were using a lot of bandwidth (aka streaming vids or torrents), you had one too many windows/tabs open, your machine is older/slower, etc.

yang,
It's working fine now.

thanks for the insight.
Blame internet gremlins.  I hate those things.
Anybody interested in having some drinks with Carlo Moser tomorrow evening?
listened to this album on the Kickr while banging out the TP endurance workout today and holy shit is it a good one.

would be ripping some of these at CompuTrainer sessions if they weren't so dismally inferior to the Kickr; no offense.

full disclosure - I've recently seen Halloween, The Thing, Big Trouble In Little China, and They Live at BAM.
parts of this soundtrack are pretty killer for tempo with a little Trans Am, Gramme  and even some Giorgio Moroder era Donna Summer thrown into the mix  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTrNtrIQVdo
while we're on the subject, Cliff Martinez is on top of his game. You should really give him a listen.

I'm going to crank this while I knock out the FTP test tomorrow

Don't know if any of your have tried bringing your bike on AmTrak.  Last time I looked into it, I don't think I could get my bike on whether I was going north to Boston or south to DC.

The League of American Bicyclists is pushing to have roll-on access mandatory.  If anything, it could help Amtrak.

Here's an online petition to sign.
